Abstract: ABSTRACT CURRENT COLLECTOR PLATE FOR A SECONDARY CELL Example current collector plates for being used in secondary cells are described. In one embodiment, the current collector plate comprises an elevated portion that incorporates a bending feature to compensate for the variations in the 5 height of an electrode assembly during the assembly process. In another embodiment, the current collector plate comprises a depression for accommodating height variations of the electrode assembly. The disclosed current collector plates encompass two distinct regions for rivet welding which enhances the mechanical stability of the current collector plate. In addition, the current collector plates 10 include a resting feature to enhance the stability of the current collector plate, especially during compression. <> 15 19
