Fiber Assembly And Method For Manufacturing Fiber Assembly

Abstract: The present invention attains a fiber assembly that has a higher degree of freedom regarding combinations of orientations of multicore fibers than conventionally or that can be manufactured more easily than conventionally. A plurality of multicore fibers (MF1-MFna) are bundled so that multicore fibers each having a first end surface (s1) located at the first end surface (t1) side of a tape core wire (T) and multicore fibers each having a second end surface (s2) located at the first end surface (t1) side of the tape core wire (T) are mixed together.
