Flywheel For Magneto Generator Systems

Abstract: A flywheel for a magneto generator system comprises a flywheel cup having a base, amouth away from the base, and a protrusion extending from the base towards the mouth. The protrusion has a taper to receive a counter-taper of a crankshaft of an engine. The flywheel further comprises a ring mountable on the protrusion. The present subjectmatter eliminates the use of a boss for mounting a flywheel on a crankshaft. Therefore, the present subject matter reduces the weight of the flywheel and simplifies the design of the flywheel. <>
