Specification

As required, detailed embodiments of the present disclosure are disclosed herein; however, it is to be understood that the disclosed embodiments are merely exemplary of the disclosure which may be embodied in various forms. Therefore, specific structural and functional details disclosed herein are not to be interpreted as limiting, but merely as a basis for the claims and as a representative basis for teaching one skilled in the art to variously employ the present disclosure in virtually any appropriately detailed structure..
[0025] Various other objects, advantages, and features of the disclosure will become more readily apparent to those skilled in the art from the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the accompanying drawing.
[0026] All methods described herein can be performed in any suitable order unless otherwise indicated herein or otherwise clearly contradicted by context. The use of any and all examples, or exemplary language (e.g., “such as”) provided with respect to certain embodiments herein is intended merely to better illuminate the invention and does not pose a limitation on the scope of the invention otherwise claimed. No language in the specification should be construed as indicating any non-claimed element essential to the practice of the invention. Various terms as used herein are shown below.
[0027] To the extent a term used in a claim is not defined below, it should be given the broadest definition persons in the pertinent art have given that term as reflected in printed publications and issued patents at the time of filing.
[0028] The following terms as used herein according to the invention have the following meanings.
[0029] The terms “herbs” and “herbaceous plants” in the singular and plural are understood to mean all kinds of plants, funguses and algae that can contain or can produce substances that have a pharmacological, physiological, beneficial, sensory or other perceived or un-noticed but measurable effect on humans. The term herbaceous plant includes the stems, seeds, buds, roots, leaves, branches, bark, flowers fruit and all other parts of a plant. Preferably, these parts may be selected to provide only the plant part containing the desired herbal extract if appropriate. The term “herbaceous plant material” is understood to mean comminuted herbaceous plant material unless in context this term describes a whole plant.
[0030] As used herein pursuant to the invention, an “herbal extract” and/or “extract” are understood to mean a substance or derivative thereof obtained directly from an herbaceous plant or indirectly through synthetic methods applied to such plants and/or substances. An herbal extract can be a solid, oil or liquid and can have a pharmacological, physiological, beneficial, sensory or other perceived or unnoticed but measurable effect on humans (e.g., an unnoticed but measurable effect may be, but is not limited to, lowering of blood pressure). In addition to the popular understanding that an herbal extract is a flavor, taste and odiferous substance for use in foods, the term herbal extract(s) and related terms used herein include medicinal agents and substances, pharmacological agents and substances, and chemical agent, substances and compounds known or derived from any kind of plant, fungus or algae. Included also are semi-synthetic derivatives of such substances. The term “herbal extract(s)” includes any of the phrases “one or more herbal extracts” an “herbal extract or extracts”, and herbal extract, in other words, the singular herbal extract and the plural herbal extracts, i.e., multiple herbal extracts.
[0031] The present disclosure provides an air filter purifier comprises of herbal extracts namely Neem/Tulsi, activated carbon, hardeners and binders in a predetermined amount and a process for impregnation of Neem and Tulsi extract to a support substrate such as activated carbon powder/granules, activated carbon cloth, polyester felt and poly urethane sponge.
[0032] The filter comprises of approximately 235g of activated carbon, 5g of Neem/ Tulsi powder, 75g of Hardner and 250g Binder dissolved in 1.5 L de-mineralized water and mixed properly.
[0033] The binder used in the filter is preferably Polyvinyl alcohol based water soluble adhesive and is white in color. The hardener used is preferably VAM based copolymer which is also white in color. Both the hardener and the binder are combined in the ratio of 1: 1 to 1:5. Activated carbon and the herbal extracts are combined in the ratio of 1: 0.1 to 1: 0.01.
[0034] Figure 1 illustrates the process of impregnation of of Neem and Tulsi to a support substrate, comprising the steps of:
a. mixing a hardener and binder in the preferred ratio of 1: 3.5 to obtain a solution;
b. pouring the mixed solution of step a and adhesive in Demineralised (DM) water;
c. adding 235 grams of 250-300 mesh coconut shell activated carbon and 5 grams of Neem/Tulsi to the solution of step b ;
d. stirring the solution of step c;
e. dipping a sponge in a carbon solution of step d and holding the same for 20 minutes;
f. unloading the treated sponge;
g. drying the solution containing sponge at 70 degree Celsius in a dryer; and
h. Packaging the product.
[0035] Figure 2 illustrates view of the activated carbon fabric filter, wherein said filter comprises of several materials including synthetic mesh, grey non woven, green non woven, black non woven and activated carbon fabric , each of the material is of a particular length and width an specification PP, GSM-80; PP, GSM-45; PP, GSM-48; PP, GSM-50; Import, IV->1100, GSM-90~110, Copper Treated respectively..
[0036] Figure 3 illustrates view of the sponge filter, wherein said filter comprises of several materials including yellow esh, green mesh, red mesh and sponge 5mm, each of the material is of a particular length and width and specification PP, GSM-200; PP, GSM-400, Iodine value 600-800 mg/gm respectively.
[0037] Figure 4 illustrates view of the felt filter, wherein said filter comprises of several materials including melt brown, green mesh and PET felt, each of the material is of a particular length and width and specification PP, GSM-75; PP, GSM-200; PP, GSM-280 respectively.

[0038] EXAMPLES
Various test were conducted using the above compositions. Below given is the test report obtained from NABL accredited laboratory.
1. Antioxidant Assay (DPPH assay): 20-45%
2. Anti-Microbial Analysis:
Pseudomonas aeruginosa- 97%
E.Coli (MTCC 443) - 98%
Aspergillus niger (MTCC 282)- 99%

3. PM2.5 Filtration Efficiency: 85-99%

[0039] The process can also include the procedure for Polyester felt apart from sponge (without carbon, only neem/Tulsi impregnated polyester felt), wherein firstly Neem powder 3g, Hardener 5g, Binder 20g and 500ml DM water are mixed properly to prepare a solution; secondly 500mm Polyester Sheet is taken and sheets are added to the solution; thirdly allowing the solution to stand for 20 minutes at room temperature; lastly taking out the sample from solution and drying the same for 2 hrs. at 50 ?C.
[0040] While the disclosure has been presented with respect to certain specific embodiments, it will be appreciated that many modifications and changes may be made by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the disclosure. It is intended, therefore, by the appended claims to cover all such modifications and changes as fall within the true spirit and scope of the disclosure.
