, Description:TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present disclosure relates to electrical devices in vehicles. In particular, the present disclosure pertains to a high current fuse box with a provision for one or more mini fuses.
BACKGROUND
[0002] Background description includes information that may be useful in understanding the present invention. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
[0003] A fuse is an automatic means of removing power from a faulty system; often abbreviated to ADS (Automatic Disconnection of Supply). A fuse box may include a plurality of mini, midi or mega fuses. Fuses have been used as essential safety devices from the early days of electrical engineering. Today there are thousands of different fuse designs which have specific current and voltage ratings, breaking capacity, and response times, depending on the application. The time and current operating characteristics of fuses are chosen to provide adequate protection without needless interruption. Wiring regulations usually define a maximum fuse current rating for particular circuits. Short circuits, overloading, mismatched loads, or device failure are the prime or some of the reasons for fuse operation. When a damaged live wire makes contact with a metal case that is connected to ground, a short circuit will form and the fuse will blow. Generally mini and midi fuses are used for low current fuse boxes while mega fuses are used for high current fuse boxes.
[0004] In existing high current fuse boxes as illustrated in FIG. 1, there is no provision for mini fuses. As a result, wiring becomes complicated as more wires are required to bridge the gap between high current fuse boxes and main fuse or relay box where mini fuses are available. Since there is no mini fuse provision in high current fuse box, more complex features are required in high current fuse box to address the issues arising with low current. In order to address the issues with low current, wiring harness complexity increases due to the lack of mini fuse.
[0005] Therefore, there is a requirement of a high current fuse box having mini fuse structure that can overcome aforementioned problems and challenges in the art.

Where a definition or use of a term in an incorporated reference is inconsistent or contrary to the definition of that term provided herein, the definition of that term provided herein applies and the definition of that term in the reference does not apply.
OBJECTS OF THE PRESENT DISCLOSURE
[0007] Some of the objects of the present disclosure aimed to ameliorate one or more problems of the prior art or to at least provide a useful alternative are listed herein below:
[0008] An object of the present disclosure is to provide for a high current fuse box with a separate mini fuse cavity to assemble a mini fuse.
