Abstract: A process for developing cotton hybrid seeds with high potentiality and ginning percentage wherein male and female parents are of type VC – 22 and VC – 32 respectively. Female flower is covered with tissue paper, after removing stamens to prevent brusting of pollens that starts pollination. Petals of male flower collected in the morning are removed and flower is kept in sunlight to shed pollen. Pollens from the male parent are transferred to the stigma of female parent by shedding pollens on it. The child plant results into improved characteristics such as dark green, hairy medium leaf with 3-5 lobes, plant habit bushy with 4-5 monopodia, plant height about 130-150 cm, flowers with yellow petal and anther, round bolls with 4-5 locules, takes about 150-170 days for maturity, 50-60 days to flowering, yield potentiality around 2500 kg/ha, ginning percentage about 37.2 . Fibers so produced have staple length more than 29 mm, uniformity ratio 49.8%.
