TECHNICAL FIELD
The present disclosure generally relates to automobiles. Particularly, but not exclusively, the present disclosure relates to a lamp for an automobile. Further, embodiments of the present disclosure disclose an improved daytime running lamp having uniform illuminance/illumination from all angles.
BACKGROUND OF THE PRESENT DISCLOSURE
The information in this section merely provides background information related to the present disclosure and may not constitute prior art(s).
In the recent years, vehicle manufacturers have been providing vehicles with daytime running lamps. Such daytime running lamps are mounted with the headlamp of the vehicle and are used to notify the presence of the vehicle to pedestrians and other vehicles. Such daytime running lamps are configured to provide uniform illuminance. Such daytime running lamps plays a role in traffic safety.
Generally, daytime running lamps are provided with halogen, LED and incandescent-based light source. These day running lamps does not look uniformly illuminated form all angle, it looks uniform only from particular angle.
With an advancement of technology, researchers have come up with light emitting diodes (LED’s) as light source for daytime running lamps. Although these LED’s are less power consuming, however a major disadvantage with the use of LED’s is the inadequate illuminance. As the result, dark spots appear on the screen of the daytime running lamp. This decreases aesthetic appearance of the vehicle.
Therefore, there is immense need in the art to provide a daytime running lamp that overcomes the one or more limitations of existing lamps. Specifically, an improved daytime running lamp that provides uniform illuminance from all angles.
