Abstract: The present invention improves the reliability of DNA profiling. An error sequence generated due to artifacts in PCR and a generation probability thereof are obtained by a preparatory experiment, and the error sequence and the generation probability are stored in a storage unit. A sequence analysis result of the DNA profiling is obtained. Regarding each of read sequences enumerated in the analysis result, reference is made to the storage unit by regarding said read sequence as a true sequence, a corresponding error sequence is obtained as a predictive error sequence, and a value obtained by multiplication of the number of reading times of the read sequence by a generation probability of the corresponding error sequence is obtained as a predictive number of reading times. Further, when search is performed on the read sequences enumerated in the analysis result for a read sequence that matches with the predictive error sequence and the number of reading times of the searched read sequence matches with the predictive number of reading times, it is determined that the searched read sequence is an error sequence.
