Integrated Backshell Connector With Electromagnetic Shielding

Abstract: An integrated backshell connector includes a one-pieced connector housing having a mating portion located at front side of the housing. The mating portion includes a front opening with different sizes and shapes and a rear opening for receiving a plurality of electrical conduits of a connector insert such that the connector insert is electrically connected to the mating portion. A backshell part is integrated with the mating portion and located at rear side of the housing that securely holds the connector insert within its inner region and a rear outer part of the backshell securely holds a shielding portion to restrict electromagnetic interference.
