REFER: FIG. 2A
FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vehicle's revolution per minute indicator
and more particular to providing the operator of the vehicle with informative alerts in
terms of informative representation with respect to plurality of light emitting diodes
in the vehicle information display instrument of the vehicles.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The statements in this section merely provide background information related
to the present disclosure and may not constitute prior art(s).
Generally, the automotive vehicles are equipped with various kind of vehicle
information display instruments that are uniquely provided with audio/visual warning
indicators comprising information such as fuel level, telephone, bluetooth, rpm of the
engine, tell tale symbols, turn signal indicator, hazard warning indicator and / or other
indicators. In a patent application (patent application number 2103/DEL/2015) filed
in India, the same applicant disclosed a fuel level indicator system wherein various
light emitting diodes are representing the instantaneous level of the fuel in the vehicle.
The revolution per minute (hereinafter referred as RPM) of the running wheel of the
vehicle is represented by a tachometer which is provided with atleast two concentric
scales holding two consecutive needles to indicate speed and RPM of the running
vehicle respectively. Hence, the instantaneous speed and the RPM of the running
speed is communicated to the operator by these two needles that function on a fixed
mechanism planted below the needle in the vehicle information display instrument of
the vehicle. Practically, the application of needle and separate mechanism for
tachometer is not compulsory for the vehicle information display instrument. Further,
the automotive vehicles employ a liquid crystal display to communicate the RPM of
the vehicle to the operator of the vehicle. However if the tachometer need to be seen
during daytime, the driver need to concentrate more because of the nature and
restrictions of liquid crystal display. This may become a dangerous task for the
vehicle operators as they, should adhere their attention on the road and also on the

speed limits simultaneously. It would be helpful for a driver to be warned when the
current speed of the driving vehicle is approaching the maximum permissible speed;
In addition, it would be useful for the driver to be further warned (in a manner that
can be distinguished from the first warning) when the current speed of the vehicle has
exceeded the operator specified maximum speed. This would give the driver an
opportunity to slow the vehicle down before exceeding his or her preferred dangerous
traveling speed/Additionally, the application of needle and/or liquid crystal display
unnecessary invite additional cost to the overall arrangement too.
Hence, there is an urgent need for an improved mechanism of representing the
RPM of the running vehicle without losing the basic requirements of reliability,
safety, less cost, customers' satisfaction and the like.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The embodiments of the present subject matter are described in detail with
reference to the accompanying drawings. However, the present subject matter is not
limited to these embodiments which are only provided to explain more clearly the
present subject matter to the ordinarily skilled in the art of the present disclosure. In
the accompanying drawings, like. reference alphabets and numerals are used to
indicate like components. The drawings are not necessarily drawn to the scale, and in
some instances the drawings have been exaggerated and/or simplified in places for
illustrative purposes only.
The present invention relates to a'vehicle's revolution per minute indicator
and more particular to providing the operator of the vehicle with informative alerts in
terms of informative representation with respect to plurality of light emitting diodes
in the vehicle information display instrument of the vehicles. The following
description is merely exemplary in nature and is not intended to limit the present
disclosure, application, or uses. The present invention will hereinafter be described in
detail below as applied to a motor cycle 100. However, the principles of the present
invention are also applicable to other vehicles such as three wheelers, four wheelers,

the present subject matter. The electronic circuit structure may comprises of various
electronic components such as capacitors, resistors, diodes, and the likes to filter the
voltage surges/spikes. The electronic circuit structure 200 illustrates plurality of light
emitting diodes. 118 corresponding to each reference voltage circuit wherein the
respective LED 118 glows on the basis of the signals received.
Operationally, the revolution per minute of the running vehicle is sensed by
the tachometer that sends analog signals to the microcontroller 206 designed within
the electronic circuit structure 200 of the motor cycle 100. The microcontroller 206
converts the analog signals into digital signals which accordingly send the said
signals to corresponding LED 118 to consequently indicate the instant RPM of the
running vehicle in a particular color which is visually shown in the vehicle
information display instrument 114 of the motor cycle 100. The operation continues
to be the same for each of the rest LEDs 118 present within the electronic circuit
structure 200 wherein respective LEDs 118 glow according to the instantaneous
revolution per minute of the running vehicle. In a unique embodiment of the present
subject matter, the LEDs 118 provided within the electronic circuit structure 200 are
of different colors to indicate the instantaneous revolution per minute of the running
vehicle. For instance, glow of each LED 118 may indicate a multiple of 1000 rpm of
the running vehicle. Hence, if the vehicle, is running at 5000 rpm, then five of the
LEDs will glow to indicate the corresponding rpm of the running vehicle. In an
embodiment of the present subject matter, the set of twelve LEDs (as an example)
may be divided into three different colors to highlight the danger of increasing RPM
of the running vehicle. In another embodiment of the present subject matter, the
multipleLEDs1-18-may-be replaced-witfe-a RGB (RED GREEN-BLIJE) LED whose
permutation and combination can produce plurality of colors. In an embodiment of
the present subject matter, the visual indication of the RPM of the vehicle may also
be indicated by an audible buzzer (not shown).
The LED based tachometer according to the present subject matter
advantageously facilitates a needle-less -mechanism for indicating the RPM of
running vehicle. Further, the present subject matter discloses the tacho indication

without the presence of compulsory liquid crystal display, hence the visual display of
the tachometer is also possible, during daytime. Additionally, since there is no
compulsory liquid crystal display for the tachometer, hence the dangerous risk for the
vehicle operators to adhere to their attention on the road becomes easier. Furthermore,
since-the subject matter provides multiple LEDs to indicate the dangerous situation of
the running vehicle also, hence the driver gets the opportunity to slow the vehicle
down before exceeding his or her preferred dangerous traveling speed. Also, the
overall cost involved for the present subject matter is also low. Furthermore, the
present subject matter ensures least requirement of servicing and maintenance that
subsequently lowers the overall cost of any vehicle information display instruments
for vehicles. Moreover, the present subject matter discloses an improved, advanced,
reliable, and customers' friendly vehicle information display instrument. Additionally,
the arrangement according to the present subject matter discloses the visual/audible
display of RPM of running vehicle in various stages that corresponds to the running
speed of the vehicle Moreover, since the arrangement does not have any costly
electronic components that subsequently reduces the overall cost of the
manufacturing of the vehicle information display instrument according to the present
subject matter.
It will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes could be made to
the embodiments described above without departing from the broad inventive concept
thereof. The present embodiments are therefore to be considered in all respects as
illustrative and not restrictive, the scope of the invention being indicated by the
appended claims rather than by the foregoing description and all variations,
a. of the claims are therefore intended to be embraced therein.
