Load Reduction System And Load Reduction Method

Abstract: The present invention stabilizes an open flow network system by reducing submission of queries to a controller regarding flow entries that have not been configured thereby reducing a load on a controller. Specifically the controller registers in a flow table of a switch flow entries that define rules and actions required for uniformly controlling packets as flows. When a packet is received if a flow entry that corresponds to the received packet has not already been registered in the flow table the switch submits a query to the controller regarding a flow entry corresponding to the received packet stacks the received packet and controls transfer of packets having the same header information as that of the stacked packet by using the stacked packet until a flow entry that corresponds to the received packets is registered.
