Loudspeaker Cum Microphone Device

Abstract: A loudspeaker cum microphone device(1)comprising a pair of audio processing circuits(2,2) and a 4-pole switch (3a,3b,3c,3d)having two contacts associated with each pole(c1,d1,c2,d2,c3,d3,c4,d4). The audio processing circuits are connected to a first pair of poles through volume controls(4,4)at one end thereof and to a second pair of poles through power amplifiers(5,5) at the other end thereof. In the loudspeaker mode of operation of the said device the first pair of poles are in circuit with a sound processing system(7) through one corresponding contacts of the first pair of poles and the second pair of poles are connected to a pair of loudspeakers(6a,6b)through one corresponding contacts thereof. In the microphone mode of operation of the said device, one of the two loudspeakers is connected to the first pair of poles through the other corresponding contacts thereof and the second pair of poles are in circuit with the sound processing system through the other corresponding contacts thereof.
