Method And System For Controlling Safety Operations In A Vehicle
Abstract: Disclosed herein is method and a method and control system for controlling safety operations based in a vehicle based on classification of passengers in the vehicle. In an embodiment, a plurality of foot images of a passenger is captured using one or more image capturing units configured in the vehicle. Further, foot length of the passenger is determined by analyzing the plurality of images using predetermined image processing techniques. Thereafter, the passenger classified into one of a plurality of categories based on the weight of the passenger, which is estimated from the foot length of the passenger. Finally, a safety operation is controlled according to category of the passenger. In an embodiment, the method and system of the present disclosure help in minimizing or completely eliminating adverse impact of occupantrestraint mechanisms of the vehicle on the passengers, during emergencies
