Method And System For Determining Optimum Pod Size For Applications

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and systems for determining an optimum pod size for an application. The method comprises: receiving, by a processing unit [102], a workload file of the application from a memory unit [104] and an acceptable latency value from the memory unit [104] or user interface [106]; determining number of executing means to initiate execution of workload file; determining minimum memory requirement based on acceptable latency value; determining an optimum pod size for the application based on the number of executing means to initialize the execution of workload file and the minimum memory requirement. The invention enables one to accurately determine an optimum pod size for running application by taking inputs as the workload file of the application and acceptable latency. The invention also enables dynamic autoscaling of optimum pods based on change in number of consumers using the application on a digital platform. [FIG. 2]
