Method And System For Optimizing Packaging Efficiency Of Shipping Boxes

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a system for optimizing the packaging efficiency shipping boxes. The method comprises the steps of: receiving, a set of dimensions of one or more stock keeping units and a set of dimensions of each shipping box of first set of shipping boxes; determining, a first packaging efficiency metric for the first set of shipping boxes; determining, a set of dimensions of each shipping box of one or more second sets of shipping boxes based on the first packaging efficiency; determining, a second packaging efficiency metric for the one or more second sets of shipping boxes’ comparing, the first packaging efficiency metric and the second packaging efficiency metric; and optimizing the packaging efficiency of the first set of shipping boxes based on the comparison of the first packaging efficiency metric and the second packaging efficiency metric, and a predefined threshold value.
