"Modified Release Bilayer Tablet Of Amoxicillin"

Abstract: The present invention provides a modified release pharmaceutical formulation of amoxicillin and the method of preparation thereof. The pharmaceutical formulation is in the form of a bilayer tablet of amoxicillin comprising (a) an immediate release portion comprising amoxicillin and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients; (b) a delayed release portion comprising amoxicillin, one or more enteric polymer and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients and is useful in the treatment of various bacterial infections.
