Abstract: The insect trap utilizes carbon dioxide for an attractant. It has been proved that mosquitoes are attracted to human being"s because of liberation of CO2 during respiration. Mosquitoes are very sensitive to change in concentration of CO2 even in small amount. The mosquito"s natural instinct of tracking human beings is through release of CO2 as well as smell of human sweat. Carbon dioxide is produce by burning of candle/ oil wick and by the mixture sugar and yeast solution or baking soda. These natural instincts, which are used in this equipment, are not injurious to human beings and useful to kill mosquitoes in mosquito trapping device.

Field of Invention:
The present invention is related to trap the mosquitoes. This equipment is working on the principle of using natural instinct of the insect i.e. CO2.
Background Of Invention:
The present invention generates its own insect attractants of carbon dioxide (CO2) and water vapor through which insects and mosquitoes are attracted towards the device.
From 100 feet away (30 meters) mosquitoes can smell a potential blood host's scent, especially the carbon dioxide (CO?) the blood host exhales. Similarly, biting flies can smell their prey from 300 feet (100 meters) away. Because CO2 is present in the atmosphere (plants take in CO2 and give off oxygen), mosquitoes respond to higher concentrations, especially when the CO2 is mixed with human sweat odor. They follow a blood host's scent upwind, and can see a target at a distance of about 30 feet (10 meters). Devices that try to stimulate a mosquito host thus may include, for example, a source of carbon dioxide, a source of octenol (an alcohol that is given off by mammalian blood hosts), and/or a heat source.
At present chemical method are adapted to get rid of mosquitoes. The chemical methods are having three types.
1. Mosquito coil
2. Mosquito mat
3. Mosquito repellent solution
In all the three cases the application of heat and vaporizing the chemicals are adapted. Initially these methods are very effective over a period of time it built resistance to these chemicals. To make these methods effective concentration of chemicals has to be increased which are harmful to human beings as well.
Another method of attracting and killing the mosquito is through Fluorescence light and electrified grid. After the certain time limit intensity of fluorescence light decreases and intensity of attraction is also decreases. Due to power cut off in India, electrified grid is not very effective.
1
Smoking coils are used to repel mosquitoes and other insects. But these are very effective only in smoke domine. The probability of mosquito bite is reduced only in smoke domine.
Summary Of Invention:
The present invention provides mosquito trapping or killing by utilizing carbon dioxide, which is produced due to burning of the candle and fermentation process. Mosquito can recognize the concentration of carbon dioxide increases in very small amount. The fresh air required for combustion, enters in the combustion chamber. Hot carbon dioxide exhaust mixes with the carbon dioxide produced by fermentation process. Hence the total temperature of carbon dioxide drops. Mosquitoes are drawn in the chamber; it kills because of non-availability of oxygen.

Detail Description Of Invention:
The present device is composed of plastic material containing three different compartments. These compartments are divided with the help of mesh. These meshes are having different pore size. Material of construction is either metal or non-metal. It is preferred to have metallic mesh so as to prevent corrosion. The top portion is having a provision for lighting the candle as well as lighting the bulb. These options are given because in some part of the world where shortage of power supply occurs. This device can work without loosing their efficiency. The lower compartment has chemicals dissolved in water after dissolving in water it emits carbon dioxide. The emission of carbon dioxide is in ppm level. The internal geometry of the device is designed in such a way that the emitted carbon dioxide is distributed all along the chamber with the slight breed off which attracts mosquitoes. Dead mosquitoes are collected in the tray and conveniently placed. Liquid is placed in the bottom chamber, which can be changed without disturbing the assembly. The design of the liquid chamber is threadless and provides a tight air seal.
The intermediate chamber is provided as a storage and distribution of carbon dioxide. The internal structure of the intermediate chamber is smooth and does not provide any cavities for accommodation. The inside chamber provides swirling action by which turbulence is created and this turbulence will spread Carbon dioxide in all direction when it comes out of the opening. Intermediate chamber is separated from the top chamber and bottom chamber by SS mesh of appropriate size.
Dome Shape Chamber: this chamber is in the shape of the dome and can be fabricated in any different color. This chamber is translucent and use for placing candle / lamp lit with fire or electrical lamp, in case of candle/ lamp lit with fire will release additional amount of carbon dioxide, which will help us to attract more mosquito. Carbon dioxide is generated at higher than room temperature gets mixed at the outlet.
Working: The present invention provides mosquito trapping or killing by utilizing carbon dioxide, which is produced due to burning of the candle and fermentation process. Hot carbon dioxide exhaust mixes with the carbon dioxide produced by fermentation process. Hence the total temperature of carbon dioxide drops. Mosquitoes are drawn in the chamber; it kills because of non-availability of oxygen. The insect trap utilizes carbon dioxide for an attractant. It has been proved that
