Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a hair cleansing no rinse shampoo composition. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to a composition comprising primarily a starch species, and a surfactant species in particular a ratio that is effective in an application as a no rinse shampoo.
CLIAMS:1. A hair cleansing no rinse shampoo composition comprising of
a. 4%-7% by weight of at least one starch;
b. 0.18%-1.75% by weight of at least one surfactant; and
c. at least one propellant.
2. The hair cleansing no rinse shampoo as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one starch is selected from the group consisting of a natural starch, and modified starch.
3. The hair cleansing no rinse shampoo as claimed in claim 2, wherein the natural starch is selected from the group consisting of corn starch, potato starch, tapioca starch, rice starch, wheat starch, and cassava starch.
4. The hair cleansing composition as claimed in claim 2, wherein the modified starch is selected from the group consisting of aluminium starch octenylsuccinate, sodium starch octenylsuccinate, calcium starch octenylsuccinate, distarch phosphate, hydroxyethyl starch phosphate, hydroxypropyl starch phosphate, sodium carboxymethyl starch, and sodium starch glycolate, preferably aluminum starch octenylsuccinate .
5. The hair cleansing composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one surfactant is selected from the group consisting of ionic surfactants, non-ionic surfactants, neutral surfactants, and mixtures thereof.
6. The hair cleansing composition as claimed in claim 5, wherein the at least one surfactant is selected from the group consisting of ammonium lauroyl sarcosinate, sodium trideceth sulfate, sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, sodium myristoyl sarcosinate, ammonium laureth sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, ammonium lauryl sulfate, sodium lauryl sulfate, ammonium cocoyl isethionate, sodium cocoyl isethionate, sodium lauroyl isethionate, sodium cetyl sulfate, sodium lauroyl lactylate, triethanolamine lauroyl lactylate, salts or partial salts of lauric acid , salts or partial salts of myristic acid, and mixtures thereof, preferably sodium lauryl ether sulphate .
7. The hair cleansing composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one propellant is selected from the group consisting of ethane, methane, propane, butane, isobutane, pentane, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and mixtures thereof, preferably a mixture of propane, butane, and isobutane.
8. The hair cleansing composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein component (c) is mixed with at least one starch and at least one surfactant in a w/w ratio of 85:15-70:30, preferably in a w/w ratio of 75:25.
9. A method of preparing a hair cleansing no rinse shampoo composition as claimed in claim 1, said method comprising:
a. obtaining and mixing at least one anionic surfactant with at least one solvent under continuous stirring conditions to obtain a homogenous mixture;
b. obtaining and mixing at least one starch species with the homogenous mixture under continuous stirring conditions to obtain a uniform blend; and
c. optionally, obtaining and adding emotives, fragrances, fillers, carriers, emollients, essential oils, and actives to the uniform blend under continuous stirring conditions to obtain a uniform blend;
d. pressure fill propellants to obtain a hair cleansing no rinse shampoo, wherein the w/w ratio of the uniform blend obtained from (c) to propellant is in the range of 15:85-30:70, preferably 25:75.
