Specification

Field of the Invention:
The present invention relates to a pet feeding station that can be used to hold pet feeding bowls of different sizes and different shapes.
Background and Prior Art Description:
The basic pet feeding available so far accommodates only single predefined size of bowl. The existing products cannot hold bowls of different sizes. The existing products available so far are:
Wire Double Diners: This holds two same size of standard feed bowls. Figures la and lb show the wire double diners type feeding stations.
Box Double Diners: This also holds two bowls of predefined size of feed bowls. Figure lc shows the box double diners type feeding station.
Adjustable Double Diners: These are also double diners for accommodating two feeding bowls of the given size with the feature of adjusting the height of the diner. Figures 1d and le show the adjustable double diners type feeding stations.
As can be observed from the above none of the presently available pet feeding stations are capable of holding more than one predefined size of bowl. Thus there is a need for a pet feeding station having the capability to accommodate different sizes of bowls for various pet feeding needs.
Brief Description of the Accompanying Drawings:
In the drawings accompanying the specification,
Figure la represents the front view of the wire double diners type of feeding station.
Figure lb represents the perspective view of the wire double diners type of feeding station.
Figure lc represents the perspective views of the box double diners type of feeding station.
Figure Id represents a first adjustable double diners type of feeding station.
Figure le represents a second adjustable double diners type of feeding station.
Figure 2 shows the perspective photographic view of the double feeding station that can be used to hold pet feeding bowls of different sizes prepared in accordance with a fourth embodiment of the present application.
Figure 3 a represents a single feeding station that can be used to hold pet feeding bowls of different sizes prepared in accordance with a first embodiment of the present application.
Figure 3b represents a single feeding station that can be used to hold pet feeding bowls of different sizes prepared in accordance with a second embodiment of the present application.
Figure 3 c represents a single feeding station that can be used to hold rectangular pet feeding bowls of different sizes prepared in accordance with a third embodiment of the present application.
Figure 3d represents a double feeding station that can be used to hold pet feeding bowls of different sizes prepared in accordance with a fourth embodiment of the present application.
Figure 3e represents a pentagonal feeding station that can be used to hold pet feeding bowls of different sizes prepared in accordance with a sixth embodiment of the present application.
Figure 4 represents a double feeding station having only partial grooves for holding pet feeding bowls of different sizes prepared in accordance with a fifth embodiment of the present application.
Objects of the Invention:
The main object of the present invention is to provide a pet feeding station that can be used to hold pet feeding bowls of different sizes and different shapes.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a pet feeding station having grooves of various shapes.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a pet feeding station having partial grooves for holding bowls.
Detailed Description of the Present Application:
The present application relates to a pet feeding station (10) having a base unit consisting of side walls (12) joined together by a surface forming an elevated platform (14). Refer FIG 2. The platform (14) is provided with one or more bowl holding means (16), each holding means consisting of grooves (18,19) of different sizes and shapes provided at different depths for holding pet feeding bowls of different sizes and different shapes. The grooves (18,19) of the holding means are of varying sizes for holding pet feeding bowls of varying sizes. If the bowls to be held are in circular shape, the grooves formed are concentric in shape. However, if the pet feeding bowls are in some other shape, the shapes of the grooves provided in the platform are corresponding to the shapes of the bowls.
All the grooves (18,19) of a bowl holding means provided in a platform are preferably of the same shape. However all the grooves need not be of the same shape. The shape of the grooves could be selected from a triangular, square, circular, elliptical, rectangular etc, preferably circular or square. For example it is possible to provide a groove for holding a smaller say triangular shape bowl, then a bigger circular shape bowl and thereafter a much bigger square shape bowl. In a similar fashion various combinations of grooves (18,19) and the corresponding bowls could be provided. The Applicants would like to highlight here that there is no need to provide bowl holding means (16) in the form of complete grooves for holding the bowls. It is sufficient to provide partial grooves as shown in figure 4 for holding the pet feeding bowls. The bowl holding means 16 could also be in the form of cavities, ridges or fissure or depression or crevice.
The grooves (18,19) of the bowl holding means (16) are provided at varying depths in the platform so that the bowls can easily fit into them. The holding means could be of either increasing size or decreasing size of the grooves starting from the bottom so as to hold bowls of different sizes. For example the groove for the smallest size of bowl can be provided at a maximum depth and groove for the largest size of bowl can be provided at the minimum depth.
In one of the preferred embodiments of the invention the bottom portion of the elevated side walls (12) is provided with and antiskid rubber lining (20) to avoid skidding of the feeding station.
In another embodiment of the invention the platform comprises of slanting edges (21) forming an anti spillage platform. This avoids spillage of the food / liquid filled in the bowl. Even if there is a spillage, the spillage will be collected by the platform and the floor / carpet will not get dirty.
In still another embodiment of the present invention the shape of the platform 14 could be of various shapes such as square, triangular, elliptical, rectangular, circular etc.
The Applicants would like to submit that the present application should not be restricted to a few constructions shown in the figures, which are given by way of examples. The basic novel and inventive feature of the present application is providing grooves or holding means of different sizes simultaneously on a single platform so that pet feeding bowls of varying sizes can be fitted on to the platform at the same location, this will save a lot of space and the pet feeding station need not be changed every now and then.
The Applicants have developed the feeding station keeping in mind the fact that the hunger of the pet will vary from time to time and also will increase during their growth period. A pet feeding station, which can hold only a predetermined size of bowl, will not be able to accommodate varying sizes of bowls.
The feature of exclusively exist in the design of holding arrangement of pet bowls. This is unique style design which can accommodate more than any size of bowl in the same arrangement. Nothing needs to be changed, replaced & adjusted.
This unique feature of the pet feeding station of the present invention enables the use of variable size of pet bowls in the same feeding station. This also has the flexibility of using different size of bowls at the same time to be used to feed different foods & combination of water with it.

We claim:
1. A pet feeding station having one or more provision for holding multiple sized pet feeding bowls, said pet feeding station comprising plurality of elevating side walls, said side walls being joined by a surface forming a platform, said platform having one or more multiple sized pet feeding bowl holding means, characterized in that the pet feeding bowl holding means having varying sizes and/or shapes are provided at the same horizontal location and at different vertical depths in the platform.
