Pump For Dispensing Viscous Fluid From A Container
Abstract: The present invention discloses a pump (100) for dispensing viscous fluid from a container. The pump (100) comprises a piston assembly (106) that traverses between an actuating position and a dispensing position, a locking member (118) that is in a stationary position with respect to the traversing piston assembly (106), an elastic element (116) that is in contact with the locking member (118) and the piston assembly (106), and a housing (110) that receives the piston assembly (106) and the elastic element (116). The elastic element (116) defines at least one protrusion (206) at its bottom portion (204). Top portion (202) of the elastic element (116) is affixed to the locking member (118). The bottom portion (204) of the elastic element (116) is affixed to the piston assembly (106) using the protrusion (204). The elastic element (116) is tensioned when the piston assembly (106) is in the actuating position.
