Scan Search & Verify Registration Number Plate

Abstract: In today"s world where security implications and requirements are increasing day by day and where vehicle identification is required to be more and more precise for making life of people safe and secure, the system to identify every type of registered vehicle on the road through foolproof means, remains the most important part of such an exercise. In order to create an effective identification & verification system, the foremost tool is its registered number plate. A safe and secure number plate is the one which can"t be tempered, duplicated, replaced or stolen thus providing the law enforcement agencies a complete grip on the vehicle"s authentication and verification. The invention of this type of vehicle registration number plate is called SSV NUMBER PLATE i.e., Scan, Search & Verify Number Plate.

Specification

This invention relates to Scan, Search & Verify Number Plate system where number
plate of a vehicle can be scanned by any hand held scanner, like a smart phone, from
an encrypted code embedded in the plate and the details of the vehicle can be decoded
in the app installed in the scanner instantly, without using any internet and matched
with the actual vehicle. The numbers are sandwiched between the layers of two plates
which are fused together, along with the coded & encrypted details, hence the
numbers can't be tempered with. The plates are covered with LED strip light from the
sides& connected to parking lights of the vehicle, thus illuminating the plate at night.
The plate is affixed to the body of the vehicle with snap off riveted joints, which will
break but not come off.
Some other inventions which claim security or lighted plates are as follows and are
very different from my invention.
Background of the invention
Patent Application number DE200710015747 relates to an optical fiber arrangement
for mounting device for illuminating retroreflecting vehicle number plate, has laminar
expanded transparent optical fiber with front side light transmission surface and rear
side light transmission surface wherein the optical fiber arrangement (5) has a laminar
expanded transparent optical fiber (80) with a front side light transmission surface and
a rear side light transmission surface. The optical fiber has light decoupling structures
which are arranged in the area of the light transmission surface. The light decoupling
structure has a light decoupling degree depending on the direction of travel of the
light guided in the optical fiber. An independent claim is also included for a method
for the production of a optical fiber arrangement for illuminating retroreflecting
vehicle number plate. However, the above mentioned patent is using retro

reflective surface for illumination through optical fiber, which is not only an
expensive proposal but also different from what my innovation uses.
Patent document number US0871869,1 talks about an electronic license plate having a
secure identification device in which electronic license plate system having an
identification device embedded in a license plate portion and electronics stored in a
license plate holder ensures that the proper identification device is connected to the
electronics. The identification device is constructed in a manner such that tampering
with the device will render is inoperable. Also, if an improper license plate is mounted
to the license plate holder of a vehicle, a security system will disable the electronics of
the system or will transmit an alarm signal. This invention uses electronic parts as a
security system, which is not only entirely different from present invention but also is
expensive and uses hardware instead of software for safety and security purpose.
Patent document number US08262221 relates to number plate including luminous
characters' is usually mounted below head lamps of a vehicle. As essential
components, this number plate includes a front plate having a plurality of character
portions punched therefrom, a plurality of characters each molded of a transparent or
translucent synthetic resin and adhesively fitted into the character portions, a plurality
of light emitting diode assemblies arranged on the rear surface side of the front plate
at the positions located corresponding to the character portions, a cover secured to the
rear surface of the front plate and having the light emitting diode assemblies
accommodated therein, and a plurality of base boards having the light emitting diode
assemblies arranged at the positions located corresponding to the character portions.
In addition, the cover includes a support member for supporting the base boards
which are connected to each other in the side-by-side relationship. Each of the base
boards includes a printed conductor which is electrically connected to an anode

, terminal or a ground terminal via the light emitting diode assemblies. The interior of
the cover is filled with a transparent synthetic resin.
Objective of the Invention:
I) The objective of the invention is to provide a number plate for the
vehicles, which is secure, can be scanned for details of the vehicle, is
temper proof and illuminated at night.
.11) Another aim is to provide a plate where the numbers can't be altered as
they are sandwiched between the two,layers of a transparent plate, which
are then fused together.
Ill) Another aim is to provide a number plate which is affixed to the vehicle
with snap off rivets so that any attempt to remove the plate will result into
its breaking.
Details of drawings:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of number plate made of Acrylic or any other
transparent material.
Figure 2 is a perspective view of the plate on which all the relevant details of the
vehicle including the allotted number.
Figure 3 is a perspective view of the plate on which the vehicle number is sandwiched
between two transparent plates along with the code.
Figure 4 is a perspective view of the plate on which LED strip lights are pasted
around all four sides.

The present invention is described more fully hereinafter with reference to the
accompanying drawings, in which preferred embodiments of the invention are shown.
This invention, may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not
be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein; rather, these
embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will be thorough and complete, and
will fully convey the scope of the invention to those skilled in the art.
As shown in figure 1, there is a number plate made of Acrylic or any other transparent
material. The light color is only descriptive and for demo purpose, otherwise the plate
material is totally transparent.
Figure 2 is a perspective view of the plate on which all the relevant details of the
vehicle including the allotted number, are pasted in the form of a code, which can be
scanned by any hand held device and then decoded.
Figure 3 is a perspective view of the plate on which the vehicle number is sandwiched
between two transparent plates along with the code. The boundaries of the numbers
are laser etched so that when light is passed through the plates, these etched marks
glow at night.
Figure 4 is a perspective view of the plate on which LED strip lights are pasted
around all four sides so that when connected to the vehicle battery through the parking
lights, they throw light on the plate, making the etched boundaries around the
numbers glow at night.
Present invention relates to a vehicle registration number plate consisting of two
transparent plates, made of acrylic or any other material, having the details of the
vehicle pasted in the form of an encrypted code which, can be scanned by any hand
held device, such code and the vehicle registration number sandwiched between the

said two plates, the plates then fused together by any means so that once fused the
numbers cannot be then altered.
The plate is surrounded on all four sides by a metal or plastic frame in which LED
strip lights are pasted so that when lit with the power from the vehicle battery, the
light from the sides will make the numbers glow at night.
The invention relates to a vehicle registration number plate as described above in
which numbers are laser etched along side of their boundaries so that when light
passes through the plate, such diffracted light shall make the numbers glow at night.
A vehicle registration number plate as described above is riveted to the body of the
vehicle by snap-off joints so that any attempt to unmount the plate will result in its
breakage.

I claim:
1: A vehicle registration number plate consisting of two transparent plates,
made of acrylic or any other material, having the details of the vehicle pasted in the
form of an encrypted code which can be scanned by any hand held device, such code
and the vehicle registration number sandwiched between the said two plates, the
plates then fused together by any means so that once fused the numbers cannot be
then altered.
2: A vehicle registration number plate as claimed in claim 1, such plate
surrounded on all four sides by a metal or plastic frame in which LED strip lights are
pasted so that when lit with the power from the vehicle battery, the light from the
sides will make the numbers glow at night.
3: A vehicle registration number plate as claimed in claim 2 in which numbers
are laser etched along side of their boundaries so that when light passes through the
plate, such diffracted light shall make the numbers glow at night.
§) 4: A vehicle registration number plate as claimed in any of the preceding

£ claim wherein the plate is riveted to the body of the vehicle by snap-off joints so that
