"Sending A Wish Along With Gift Using Qr Code"

Abstract: A method of sending an audio, video and text message along with any physical gift purchased from online shopping sites - using QR code as the carrier. The sender has the ability to record his/her voice/video over the website. This is translated into a QR code which is then attached with the gift box by the fulfillment center. When the recipient scans the QR code, the gift message is delivered on the smart phone of the recipient.

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for connecting an eCommerce website, QR code generator, Smart Phone reader to perform such a method. Specifically, the invention relates to facilitating sending of personal wishes along with a physical gift by usage of QR codes and SmartPhones.
BACKGROUND
Buying gifts online is one of the popular endeavors / business of today. While sending and receiving gifts have become easier by the mushrooming of a ton of eCommerce sites; people always lose a "personal" connection as the sender / recipient do not physically meet during the gift exchange. Our invention is to circumvent that to a level; where the sender can record and attach an audio or a video note to "communicate" the wishes / feelings to the recipient. Present day mobile devices such as mobile phones are often equipped with cameras which can be used to read QR codes. When the recipient receives the gift package, he/she would then scan the QR code embedded with the gift to listen/see the wish recorded by Sender. This was the "surprise" element is kept as is at the same time communicating the wish in a sort-of personal way.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
An objective of the invention is to bring back the memories of conventional gifting by adding an audio / video message along with the physical gift sent from an eCommerce shopping site. The invention consists of various components working in a seamless way.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present inventions now will be described more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which some examples of the embodiments of the inventions are shown. Indeed, these inventions may be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein; rather, these embodiments are provided by way of example so that this disclosure will satisfy applicable legal requirements.
Let's look at the various components in the invention
(1) Web application to record audio and video greeting - The web application is written in both OpenSource (PHP) and in Microsoft Technology stack (.NET) to integrate seamlessly within an online shopping website. As part of the buying process; after the visitor or customer or user, has checked out; a hyperlink would be shown in order to record the audio or the video message
(2) The web application also has a backend which automatically creates a QR code per sender. This QR code will be available via a secure login for the shipper / fulfillment company / shipping site owner in order to print and then label the same in the packaging of the gift item
(3) The smart-phone application - The recipient upon receiving the gift via courier / post; will be able to scan the QR code; this will now download / stream the video content from the web and will play to the user

CLAIMS
1. A website that facilitates shopping of physical objects accessible via an internet browser
or phone browser and the users of which using a smart phone to scan a QR code:
an act of recording audio or video messages through the website
an act of producing a QR code based on the message
an act of retrieving the message upon scanning the QR code
an act of displaying the message to the smart phone user
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the application design interface allows users to record
an audio or video message in any digital format and then convert the message to a QR
based tracking system
3. The method of claim 2, wherein a smart phone is used to scan the QR code and then retrieve a video / audio message from the server stored location
