Abstract: The Smart Solar Television system comprising a Solar Panel (1) for power generation; Television set (2); A.C./D.C. charger (3);battery storage comprising lithium battery with charge controller power backup (4); Direct- to-home television commonly known as set top box (DTH) (5); and DTH Antenna (6) FIG-1. The solar panel converts solar energy to electric energy and outputs the electric energy to the storage battery set, thereby charging and storing energy for the storage battery set. The Smart Solar Television system provide dual source of charging i.e. D.C. charging through Solar I 0 and /or A.C. charging through grid electricity is another unique feature which we are providing to keep battery charged up with both the options, whichever is available at the given point of time. The Smart solar television provided by the utility model has advantages of simple circuit design and reduced television cost.
This invention relates to Smart Solar Television and more particularly to
relate to solar energy required to operate smart solar television system; further such system generated through solar energy and A.C. (as defined 5 below) grid electricity which is stored in an integrated battery bank which provide constant and un-interrupted power supply to operate/viewing television.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

At present, the supply power mode of television set is divided into two kinds (a) concentration supply power and (b) decentralized power-supplies,:-
15 a) Concentration supply power mode, first convert 220V electric.
main to 24V Direct current (DC.) regulated power supply, and then convert 24V D.C. regulated power supply to various low-voltages, for the different electronic devices in television set provide required separately operating voltage.
20 b) Decentralized power-supply mode, is that 220V electric main is
rectified into D.C. power supply, then by transformer, directly changes the low-voltage D.C power supply that generates the
different amplitudes in each road, is the different electricity consumption load supplying in television set.
Therefore, currently most of the television set adopts concentration supply
power mode. 5 However, due to upsurge of global power consumption and shortage in
supply of power there is a demand for renewable and eco-friendly ways to
supply power to the television set and set top box.
The present invention overcomes all of the aforementioned drawbacks and
solves below mentioned major problem faced by in Solar Television.

b) Reliability on Environment/Weather Condition;
c) Availability of only D.C. charging option;
d) Bulky Design and lengthy set up process;
e) Un-availability of Smart Features; 15 f) High price in the segment;
g) Hit-or-Miss approach in terms of technology; and h) Un-availability of integrated approach in terms of technology and after sale services
20 SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
An objective of the present invention is to provide eco-friendly method design for uninterrupted entertainment, education and awareness through
television irrespective of power cut. The objective is achieved in two ways:-
a) During the sunlight period the smart solar television will get the un¬interrupted power supply source for television viewing and even during power outage and load shedding period which is quite frequent and common in rural and semi-urban setup in India, mainly during the peak load period i.e. evening and late evening time, smart solar television comes- with integrated battery backup as source of power supply, hence it provides un-interrupted entertainment and education/awareness.
b) During non- sunlight period or cloudy weather or night time the smart solar television will get the un-interrupted power supply through integrated battery backup which give viewer an un-interrupted supply of power for nearly 6-7 hours. Dual source of charging i.e. Direct current (D.C.) charging through Solar and/or Alternating current (A.C.) charging through grid electricity is another unique feature which this invention provide to keep battery charged up with both the options, whichever is available at the given point of time.

According to the present invention, the smart solar television system comprising a solar panel; television set; battery storage comprising lithium battery with charge controller power backup; A.C./D.C. charger integrated battery backup; Direct-to-home television commonly known as set top box 5 (DTH) with DTH Antenna and integrated Wireless Fidelity commonly known as (WI-FI) setup The function of each parts are as follows:-
a) Solar Panel - Solar panel converts solar energy to electric energy
and exports batteries or provide direct electric energy to the
10 television set and DTH box.
b) Battery storage comprising lithium battery with charge controller
power backup- Battery storage work by storing energy produced by
solar panels and/or alternating current (A.C.) through grid
electricity for later use. The battery storage works accumulation of
15 energy.
c) Television set- A television set or television receiver, more
commonly called a television, TV, TV set, telly, or tele, is a device
that combines a tuner, display, and loudspeakers, for the purpose of
viewing and hearing television broadcasting through satellites or
20 cables, or using it as a computer monitor. Smart Solar Television
comes with unique set which comprises the components of: a solar

run on batteries. In Smart Solar Television solar charger is optional

supply through grid to D.C. power to charge the batteries on which

e) DTH set top box- A DTH set-top box is responsible for functions
such as decoding digital Television signals for display on an analog
Television set, compression and decompression, buffering, security
management, and various signalling and control communications. In
15 Smart Solar Television the power supply to DTH set top box have
an option to get power from battery storage/backup.
f) DTH Antenna - A DTH Antenna is a dish-shaped type of parabolic
antenna designed to receive or transmit information by radio waves
to or from a communication satellite. The term most commonly
20 means a dish used by consumers to receive direct-broadcast satellite
television from a direct broadcast satellite in geostationary orbit.
g) Wi-Fi integrated with the Solar TV set up

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
The following description is of the best presently contemplated mode of carrying out the present invention. This description is not to be taken in a 5 limiting sense but is made merely for the purpose of describing the general principles of the invention. The scope of the invention should be determined by referencing the appended claims.
According to, the present invention, referring to FIG. 1, the Smart Solar
Television system comprising a Solar Panel (1) for power generation;
10 Television set (2); A.C./D.C. charger (3);battery storage comprising
lithium battery with charge controller power backup (4); Direct-to-home
television commonly known as set top box (DTH) (5); DTH Antenna (6)
J and integrated Wi-Fi (7).
The components of this invention are mechanically/electrically connected
15 to each other as describe below: -
a) Solar panel (1) is connected through . wire and connector to
battery box (4) with inbuilt charge controller. Solar Panel (1) is used
to charge the battery through solar charge controller. Battery is used
to drive the supply for Television (2).
20 b) Television (2) is connected to battery box (4) electrically through-
D.C. voltage (3) through connector. c) Wi-Fi Dongle/SIM (7) integrated to TV(2)/battery box(4)
d) Mechanically Television (2) is connected to the battery storage box (4) through metal clamps and screws.
e) Battery storage box (4) is connected through wire to DTH set top box (5) to supply electricity/power,
5 f) DTH set top box (5) is connected to television (2) at one end and on
the other end it is connected to DTH antenna (6) to supply
television signals,
g) Smart Solar Television system provide duel option to charge
through D.C. as well A.C. are present as an integrated battery
10 backup, hence this is quite easy to operate and can run continuously
without any hassle of changing the power source, if any one power source is having some problem. Also, this is first of its kind with direct D.C. input.
15 The details of existing problem solved by the present invention are as
below:-
I. Power Back Up Issue - The source of power would be solar and
mains AC which can be stored in the battery. The same saved power
from battery can be used to run the Television circuitry supply.
20 II. Reliability on Environment/Weather Condition- With a combination
of D.C, A.C. and battery backup for nearly 6 to 7 hours smart solar
television claims to operate at any given time of the day and is not only dependent on availability of solar power
III. Availability of only D.C. charging option- In other such Television only D.C. power charging was available and the external battery backup but withthis Television there is an option to charge through D.C. as well as A.C. and an integrated battery backup is also provided, hence this is quite easy to operate and can run continuously without any hassle of changing the power source, if any one power source is having some problem. Also, this is first of its kind with direct D.C. input.
IV. Bulky Design and lengthy set up process- This Smart Solar Television is compact design and easy to operate and install.
V. Un-availability of Smart Features- This has smart features such as; can be connected to Wi-Fi or Mobile Hotspot, integrated YouTube app, wireless display facility, can be connected to any Set Top Box and battery power can be used to power the STB. VI. Un-availability of separate Wi-Fi in underprivileged household- In most of the underprivileged household separate Wi-Fi is not available. Therefore, such household lady and children were unable to see contents which can be seen through internet, when the smart phone is not available in the household during the morning and afternoon hours.
VII. High price in the segment- With such integrated and smart features, 60cm wide Television, 1 year of warranty and facility of DTH connection with 6 months free subscription is unmatched commercially. 5 VIII. Hit-or-Miss approach in terms of technology: This technology is robust and compact. Technology is good when it is easy to operate and serve the purpose for which section/sector/community and locality it has been made. A very sophisticated and costly technology may not be the requirement in remote rural areas where
10 optimum is enough; keeping this in mind this technology is being
adopted after thorough survey of need and requirement of such area
in terms of facility and various other socio economic factors.
. IX. Un-availability of integrated approach in terms of technology and
after sale services- This unique smart solar television system allows
15 this segment with integrated approach of Sales and after sales
services. One year of warranty with the whole set is unmatched in
this segment.

The benefit of invention with regards to the existing prior existing 20 technologies are mentioned as below:-
i) Demand for solar Television- Community and students in rural parts
of India are left with limited source/option of entertainment and
education/awareness, based on this understanding and to connect
these left behind community and rural students, Smart Solar
5 Television keep up with the need and demand of such community at
large for providing entertainment and education. Further, keep up
with the pace of constantly changing digital world, in the comfort of
their homes,
ii) Smart features- Smart Solar Television is equipped with Smart
10 features such as You Tube App is integrated in the Television set,
wireless casting of any content,from any smart phone to Television
screen, also, it is enabled with connectivity to internet either through
Wi-Fi or Mobile Hotspot. Further, Smart Solar Television also
provides an option to the user to select the DTH operator based on
15 its service and reliable connection quality. The user may select DTH
network such as TataSky, Dishtv, Airtel TV, Jio TV etc based on
DTH network availability and presence in that particular area, after
sales service network,
iii) Un-interrupted power supply source for Television Viewing- During
20 the Sunlight hours user will get the un-interrupted power supply
source for Television viewing and even during power outage and load shedding hours which is quite frequent and common in rural

whichever is available at the given point of time. User friendly design and installation - The whole design has been made to make it compact and easy to operate for the users. Battery box has been designed in such a way that it looks aesthetic, provide
20 a solid base for table top and avoid any external meddling.
We Claim:
1. A Smart Solar Television apparatus comprising: a Solar Panel for power generation; a television set; an A.C./D.C. charger;
a battery storage comprising lithium battery with charge controller power backup;
a direct-to-home television commonly known as set top box (DTH); a DTH Antenna; and an integrated Wi-Fi Setup.
2. The combination apparatus as claimed in claim 1; wherein said Solar panel is connected through wire and connector to battery box with inbuilt charge controller. The Solar Panel is used to charge the battery through solar charge controller. Battery is used to drive the supply for Television.
3. The combination apparatus as claimed in claim 1; wherein said television is connected to battery box electrically through D.C. voltage.through connector.
4. The combination apparatus as claimed in claim 1; wherein said mechanically television is connected to the battery storage box through metal clamps and screws.
5. The combination apparatus as claimed in claim 1; wherein said battery storage box is connected through wire to DTH set top box to supply electricity/power.
6. The combination apparatus as claimed in claim 1; wherein said DTH set top box is connected to television at one end and on the other end it is connected to DTH antenna to supply television signals.
7. The combination apparatus as claimed in claim 1; wherein the said smart solar television system provide duel option to charge through D.C. as well A.C. are present as an integrated battery backup.
8. The combination apparatus as claimed in claim 1; wherein the said integrated Wi-Fi setup with smart solar television system provide and option to use internet as and when required and is independent of internet connectivity through mobile hotspot or / and other . mobile connectivity.
