Abstract: The present invention relates to a Solar LED Street light which are designed for the street lighting demand and fully meets the special requirements of street lighting. Solar street lights are raised light sources which are powered by photovoltaic panels generally mounted on the lighting structure or integrated in the pole itself. The photovoltaic panels charge a rechargeable battery, which powers a fluorescent or LED lamp during the night.

FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention is relates to a solar street lighting system and methods thereof.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
Solar street lights are raised light sources which are powered by photovoltaic panels generally mounted on the lighting structure or integrated in the pole itself. The photovoltaic panels charge a rechargeable battery, which powers a fluorescent or LED lamp during the night. A solar street light includes a lamp housing equipped with a bracket for mounting at a street light pole and photovoltaic panels for converting sunlight into electric energy, the lamp housing including a top panel, multiple peripheral panels, an accommodation chamber surrounded by the top panel and the peripheral panels, a fixed bottom panel and a movable bottom panel covering the accommodation chamber, a light source module mounted at an inner side of the movable bottom panel, and a battery set mounted in the accommodation chamber in between the top panel and the fixed bottom panel. When movable bottom panel is opened, a person can access to the light source module and the battery set, facilitating maintenance and repair work.
US 4200904; 05896341 DOAN DUC discloses a solar powered street lighting system that is totally independent of any external power supply. Solar panels are connected in such a manner to charge a maintenance-free storage battery with sufficient capacity to light street lights and/or traffic signals. An auxiliary generator may also be provided having a wind driven vane for also charging the battery if sufficient sun light is not available.
US 20090303703; 12360168; Acbel Polytech Inc.; Kao Ching-Shang discloses a solar-powered LED street light that can immediately report its power data. The disclosed LED street light has a solar cell, a switch power supply unit, and a power cable data communicating unit. The mains power cable of the LED street light connects to the switch power supply unit for providing it with DC power. The solar cell has a solar board, a battery and a charge controller. The charge controller can also provide the LED street light with DC power. The charge controller has a power data digital output interface for connecting with the power cable data communicating unit, outputting the power data of the solar cell to the power cable data communicating unit. Through the mains power cable, the status of solar cell of each LED lamp is monitored.
US 20150377433; 14766993; Shuli YANG discloses a head of solar street light to solve such problems of the existing solar street lamp as inconvenient installation, easily damaged battery by high temperature and improper work in rainy days, etc. The head of solar street light invention can be used for replacing all AC street lamps. The invention comprises a crystalline silicon panel, a LED light set, a battery, a control system and a lamp housing; a cavity is concavely provided on the back of the lamp housing, which is covered with the crystalline silicon panel that forms an airtight vacuum insulation zone with the cavity; cavities for lamp and battery, which are insulated through the vacuum insulation zone, are concavely provided on the front side of the lamp housing, and the LED light set and the battery are installed in the lamp cavity and the battery cavity respectively.
CN 204425703; 201420589018.5; YANG MINJIE discloses a solar street lamp controller and a solar street lamp using the same. The controller is used for regulating work of a solar photovoltaic cell, a storage battery and a lighting load. The solar street lamp controller comprises a time servo module used for providing accurate time information and setting lighting time of a street lamp, a photosensitive detection module used for detecting ambient brightness, a discharging module used for generating a switch-on/off signal according to the lighting time information and the ambient brightness and sending the switch-on/off signal to a discharge driving circuit, and a discharge driving module which drives a power supply system to supply power to the lighting load according to the switch-on/off signal from the discharging module. Photosensitive control and time control are combined in the solar street lamp controller, the daybreak time can be accurately identified in the morning no matter what kind of weather is, the lighting time of the street lamp in the morning can be reasonably controlled, a good energy saving effect is achieved, so the solar street lamp controller and the solar street lamp using the same can be widely used in various roads.
CN 101418924; 200810239090.4; Beijing Vast Digital Co., Ltd. discloses a solar LED streetlamp, which comprises a solar device, a lamp post and a lamp body. The solar device comprises a solar panel, a storage battery and an electric switch; the solar panel is provided with at least one fixed part; the lamp body comprises at least one set of LEDs and control modules thereof; the lamp body is arranged under the solar panel, and is fixedly connected with the solar panel through the fixed part; and the storage battery sequentially passes through the electric control switch and the control modules and is electrically connected with each set of the LEDs, and is used for providing voltage to drive each set of the LEDs. The LED streetlamp has the advantages of simple structure, and stability for mounting the solar device and the lamp body.
CN 101400941; 200680053900.6; World Top Technology Co., Ltd.; Lee Dong-hyang discloses a solar street light. The solar street light includes a lamp post fixed to anchor bolts buried in the ground, and having a lower end formed with a foldable member and an upper end formed in a stepped shape; a rotating post having a lower end rotatably coupled to the stepped upper end of the lamp post, and fixed by bolts; a screen panel coupled to the rotating post, and having a light collector and a global positioning system (GPS) antenna attached on a top surface thereof; a fixed frame having a plurality of batteries fixed in a row, and inserted and fixed in the lamp post; and a band bracket rotatably coupled on an outer circumference of an upper portion of the lamp post, and provided with fixing holes on opposite free ends thereof so as to allow a light emitting diode (LED) lamp to be fixed. Thereby, various rotating posts and screen panels are assembled to various lamp posts, and the batteries are fixed to the fixed frame, and the fixed frame is fixed inside the lamp post at a predetermined height, so that the batteries can be prevented from being submerged by a flood, and simply installed and replaced.
CN 101576222; 200910099736.8; Taicang Nanjifeng Energy Equipment Co., Ltd.; the invention provides a solar street lamp which consists essentially of a focusing device, a tracker, a photocell and an LED lamp. The focusing device can focus sunlight by tracking and positioning of the tracker and stores the sunlight into the photocell, the photocell discharges so as to ensure the LED lamp to emit light and to illuminate, and the spare solar energy can be stored in a storage battery. The obvious effect of the solar street lamp is as follows: the focused solar energy can be directly converted to the electric energy of the photocell, the clean energy-solar energy is utilized, the electricity consumption is reduced by adopting the LED lamp as the illuminating element, the load of the photocell is reduced, and a plurality of lamp caps can be accessed conveniently.
CN 101526190; 200910106054.5; Shenzhen Baoyuan Industrial Development Co., Ltd.; discloses a solar street light, solving the technical problem of choosing work modes according to the practical situations so as to save energy. The solar street light comprises a solar power system provided with a photovoltaic system and batteries, and the street light; wherein, the solar power system is electrically connected with the street light; the street light has two work modes such as normal work mode and energy-saving work mode; a control circuit is connected with the street light and comprises a timer; when timing of the timer is around the corner, the control circuit controls the street light to work according to the energy-saving work mode. In the technical proposal of the invention, as the used street light has two work modes such as the normal work mode and energy-saving work mode, under the control of the control circuit, the work mode can be chosen according to the practical situations of the passers-by before and after midnight so as to save energy.
None of the prior art indicates above either alone or in combination with one another disclose what the present invention has disclosed. The present invention relates to solar street lighting system and methods thereof. Most solar panels turn on and turn off automatically by sensing outdoor light using a light source .Solar streetlights are designed to work throughout the night. Many can stay lit for more than one night if the sun is not available for a couple of days. Older models included lamps that were not fluorescent or LED. Solar lights installed in windy regions are generally equipped with flat panels to better cope with the winds. Latest designs use wireless technology and fuzzy control theory for battery management. The street lights using this technology can operate as a network with each light having the capability of performing on or off the network.

SUMMARY
Solar street lights are raised light sources which are powered by photovoltaic panels generally mounted on the lighting structure or integrated in the pole itself. The photovoltaic panels charge a rechargeable battery, which powers a fluorescent or LED lamp during the night.

WE CLAIM
1) A solar street lighting system comprises of a LED, a Photovoltaic module, a Maximum Power Point Tracking solar charge controller and a lithium ion battery.
2) The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein said LED of cool white color operates on 12 voltage Direct current (DC) with power of 15 Watt, efficiency of LED is more than 90 percent with working life of 50,000 hours, with IP65 rating and Color Rendering Index (CRI) greater than 70.
3) The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein said Photovoltaic module is polycrystalline type, having 36 cells in series, works on 21 voltage direct current and 50 Watt power and maximum power voltage is greater than 16.5 voltage.
4) The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein said Maximum Power Point Tracking solar power charge controller with battery charging current of 2.5 ampere which is software configurable, having efficiency greater than 90 percent, with output voltage in range of 15 volts to 24 volts direct current and output current of 0.3 ampere which is also software configurable.
5) The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein said lithium ion battery having nominal operating voltage of 11.1 volts and number of cycles greater than 500 at a rate of 0.95 DoD.
