Specification

DESC:FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates generally to a mixer grinder appliance, particularly to mixer grinder jar. More particularly, the present invention relates to a splash guard for mixer grinder jar, which prevents splashing of ingredients and/or liquid to lid of said mixer grinder jar while grinding thereby ensuring efficient grinding.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Generally, a mixer grinder consists of a jar with a rotating metal blade at its bottom, powered by an electric motor housed in base portion of the mixer grinder. The jar is detachable from the base portion for ease of use and ease of cleaning. During operation, the blade rotates pushing the ingredients and/or liquid towards upward motion and thereby grinding them. While pushing towards upward motion, the ingredients and/or liquid get splashed to dome or lid resulting in inefficient grinding. Each time, the user has to remove the lid and put the splashed ingredients back into the jar and then grind which is time consuming and cumbersome process. In some instances, the dome or lid is thrown out of the mixer grinder when it rotates due to increase in back pressure of the jar. Also, if the quantity of the ingredients to be ground is less, most of them get splashed and accumulated in the lid resulting in poor grinding. Many efforts are taken to overcome the drawback of splashing of ingredients and improve grinding efficiency.

Few of them include, US7275666 discloses a container adapter adapted to be removably attached to a blender pitcher, which can be used with a drink blending machine, the pitcher having sidewalls that terminate to form an open end, and a handle adapted to facilitate pouring of a working medium from the blender pitcher. A splash shield is pivot ably attached to an ice chute, and is provided to prevent the working medium from escaping blender pitcher during the mixing process. This splash shield is positioned proximate to the interior thereof, and is preferably constructed of resilient rubber materials or nitrile. This kind of splash shield neither assists in deflecting the ingredients back on to the blades nor avoid splashing of ingredients on the lid nor improve grinding efficiency.

DE102012007530, discloses a grinding vessel for planetary or centrifugal force ball mill in laboratory scale for crushing samples, has splash guard ring concentrically surrounding opening surfaces and sealing ring when beaker is closed with lid and forms guard. This splash guard ring is felt ring arranged between the beaker and the lid. This kind of splash guard ring neither assists in deflecting the ingredients back on to the blades nor avoid splashing of ingredients on the lid nor improve grinding efficiency.

WO2015059455, discloses a kitchen machine comprising a hand/stand mixer consisting of a hand mixer body housing an electric motor and having an underside presenting at least one drive socket adapted to receive a shanked mixing tool whereby the tool can be driven in rotation about an axis extending along its shank. A cradle configured to support said body for use as a stand mixer. The machine further comprises a mixing bowl. A splash guard and attachment means for temporarily attaching the splash guard to said cradle, thereby to substantially cover said bowl with said splash guard during a mixing operation. This kind of splash guard neither assists in deflecting the ingredients back on to the blades nor avoid splashing of ingredients on the lid nor improve grinding efficiency.
Accordingly, there exists a need for a splash guard for mixer grinder jar, which prevents splashing of ingredients and/or liquid to lid and deflecting the ingredients back on to the blades of said mixer grinder jar while grinding thereby ensuring efficient grinding.

OBJECTS OF INVENTION
One or more of the problems of the conventional prior art may be overcome by various embodiments of the present invention.

It is the primary object of the present invention to provide a splash guard for mixer grinder jar, which prevents splashing of ingredients and/or liquid to lid of said mixer grinder jar while grinding thereby ensuring efficient grinding.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a splash guard for mixer grinder jar to avoid lifting of lid and splashing of ingredients and/or liquid outside the jar.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a splash guard for mixer grinder jar, which ensures efficient grinding even if the quantity of ingredients to be grind is less.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Thus according to the basic aspect of the present invention there is provided a splash guard for jar of a mixer grinder appliance, comprising of:
at least one frame;
at least one mesh; and
at least one seal ring,
wherein the frame is provided with at least one holding portion, and
wherein the mesh and the seal ring are accommodated within the frame to form the splash guard.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the holding portion of the frame is protruded.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the splash guard is detachably placed in between the lid and blades of a mixer grinder jar.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the diameter of the splash guard is such that it is capable of maneuvering within the inner portion of the jar.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein on placing the splash guard at required position inside the jar increases the grinding efficiency of the mixer grinder.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the splash guard allows air to pass through the mesh and prevents lifting of the lid thereby reducing air pressure.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the splash guard deflects the ingredients back on to the blades while grinding thereby eliminating the need for constant intervention by the user.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the splash guard prevents splashing of ingredients to lid of the mixer grinder jar while grinding thereby ensuring efficient grinding.

It is another aspect of the present invention, wherein the shape of the frame includes but not limited to a circular or any polygon or the like.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO THE ACCOMPANYING FIGURES
The present invention as herein described relates to a mixer grinder appliance, particularly to mixer grinder jar. More particularly, the present invention relates to a splash guard for mixer grinder jar, which prevents splashing of ingredients and/or liquid to lid of said mixer grinder jar while grinding thereby ensuring efficient grinding.

Referring to Figures 1 to 3, a splash guard [4] for jar of a mixer grinder appliance comprising of at least one frame [1]; at least one mesh [2]; and at least one seal ring [3], wherein the frame [1] is provided with at least one holding portion [1a], and wherein the mesh [2] and the seal ring [3] are accommodated within the frame [1] to form the splash guard [4].

The holding portion [1a] of the frame [1] is protruded as shown in Figure 3. The splash guard [4] is detachable placed in between the lid [5] and blades of the mixer grinder jar [6] as shown in Figure 2. The diameter of the splash guard [4] is such that it is capable of maneuvering within the inner portion of the jar [6]. After placing the splash guard [4] at required position inside the jar [6] increases the grinding efficiency of the mixer grinder.

Also, the slash guard [4] allows air to pass through the mesh [2] and prevents lifting of the lid [5] thereby reducing air pressure as shown in Figure 3. The splash guard [4] deflects the ingredients back on to the blades while grinding thereby eliminating the need for constant intervention by the user. Thereby it prevents splashing of ingredients to lid [5] of the mixer grinder jar [6] while grinding thereby ensuring efficient grinding.
