System And Method For Generating A Set Of Demand Based Serviceable Area Clusters

Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING A SET OF DEMAND-BASED SERVICEABLE AREA CLUSTERS A system and method for generating a set of demand-based serviceable area clusters for optimal shipment allocation at a delivery hub. The method comprises: receiving, a target historical shipment delivery data of the delivery hub; determining, a geographical distribution of historical shipment load of the delivery hub based on the target historical shipment delivery data; splitting, the geographical distribution of historical shipment load, into a set of pixels, wherein each pixel is associated with a location detail and a shipment load; generating, a representative load for said each pixel based on the shipment load of said each pixel, and a multiplier value; replicating for ‘n’ number of times, the shipment load of said each pixel based on the respective representative load; and generating, from the set of pixels, the set of demand-based serviceable area clusters, based on the replicated shipment load and a pre-defined load criterion.
