System And Method For Managing Operations Of A Project

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing operations in a project management model are described herein. In one example, the method comprises receiving a project specification of a project from a client, and generating a resource allocation model for fulfilling the project specification, wherein the resource allocation model is indicative of at least one of an hierarchical arrangement of a plurality of resource entities assigned to the project or the competency index of one or more of the plurality of resource entities assigned to the project. The method further comprises identifying phases of the project which are capable of being automated by analyzing the project specification using an automation criterion, and generating a workbench for at least one resource entity, from amongst the plurality of resource entities, based on the resource allocation model and the identified phases of the project. Specification

CLIAMS:We claim:
1. A computer implemented method for managing effectiveness index in at least one of project management model or project delivery model, the method comprising:
generating a resource allocation model for fulfilling a project specification of a project of a client, wherein the resource allocation model is indicative of at least one of an hierarchical arrangement of a plurality of resource entities assigned to the project or the competency index of one or more of the plurality of resource entities assigned to the project;
identifying phases of the project which capable of being automated by analyzing the project specification using automation rules;
automating one or more of the identified phases based on the automation rules and
modifying portions of a workbench for at least one resource entity, from amongst the plurality of resource entities, based on the resource allocation model and the identified phases of the project.
2. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the automation rules comprises at least one of cognitive analytics rules, continuous integration rules, and bot implementation rules.

3. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the method further comprises:
assigning role of the at least one resource entity in the resource allocation model; and
assigning tasks of the project to the at least one resource entity based on the assigned role.

4. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein generating the resource allocation model further comprises:
determining whether a task of the project is to be assigned to at least one of a robotic resource and a human resource, based on allocation rules;
ascertaining an implementation success ratio of the robotic resource on the task being assigned to a robotic resource; and
overriding the allocation of the task, to the robotic resource, on determining the implementation success ratio to be below a pre-defined threshold.
5. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the method further comprises:
identifying processes, associated with at least one of the project management model or the project delivery model, which have an efficiency/ productivity index less than a pre-defined efficiency/ productivity threshold;
amending the identified processes based on at least one of lean techniques or six sigma techniques, wherein the amendment enhances the efficiency/ productivity index to one of equal or exceed the pre-defined efficiency/ productivity threshold; and
modifying at least one of the resource allocation model or the workbench, based on the amending.

6. A project operations management system, for managing effectiveness index in at least one of project management model or project delivery model, the project operations management system comprising:
a processor;
a memory communicatively coupled to the processor, wherein the memory stores processor-executable instructions, which, on execution, cause the processor to:
generate a resource allocation model for fulfilling a project specification of a project of a client, wherein the resource allocation model is indicative of at least one of an hierarchical arrangement of a plurality of resource entities assigned to the project or the competency index of one or more of the plurality of resource entities assigned to the project;
identify phases of the project which capable of being automated by analyzing the project specification using automation rules;
automate one or more of the identified phases based on the automation rules and
modify portions of a workbench for at least one resource entity, from amongst the plurality of resource entities, based on the resource allocation model and the identified phases of the project.
7. The project operations management system, as claimed in claim 6, wherein the instructions, on execution, further cause the processor to
assign role of the at least one resource entity in the resource allocation model; and
assign tasks of the project to the at least one resource entity based on the assigned role.
8. The project operations management system, as claimed in claim 6, wherein the instructions, on execution, further cause the processor to
determine whether a task of the project is to be assigned to at least one of a robotic resource and a human resource, based on allocation rules;
ascertain an implementation success ratio of the robotic resource on the task being assigned to a robotic resource; and
override the allocation of the task to the robotic resource on determining the implementation success ratio to be below a pre-defined threshold.
9. The project operations management system, as claimed in claim 6, wherein the instructions, on execution, further cause the processor to
identify processes, associated with at least one of the project management model or the project delivery model, which have an efficiency/ productivity index less than a pre-defined efficiency/ productivity threshold;
amend the identified processes based on at least one of lean techniques or six sigma techniques, wherein the amendment enhances the efficiency/ productivity index to one of equal or exceed the pre-defined efficiency/ productivity threshold; and
modify at least one of the resource allocation model or the workbench, based on the amending.
