, Description:Technical Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to systems and methods for dispensing pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals and medical devices. The present invention relates to systems and methods for dispensing of medical products from a vending machine using the automatic selection algorithm and, in some embodiments, the algorithm deselect that eliminates the need for interaction with the buyer licensed practical physician.
Background of the Invention
In the present invention it found that the difference between drugs available to restrictions from the "limited availability of card" and the drugs that are available with limitations or without of "free available card", has essential for retail or wholesale enterprise of medicinal products. In particular, the "freely available" drugs, are not subject to restrictions that do not require licensed pharmacies or any interactions with the worker or pharmacist when purchasing a buyer. On the contrary, "the limited availability of" drugs and "freely available" drugs that are subject to age restrictions require interaction with an employee in the purchasing customer.
Further instructions applicable to drugs as described in detail above, there are also regulations governing the treatment of many medical devices, for example but not limited to, hypodermic needles, HIV tests, some orthopaedic devices. For example, in many countries the sale of hypodermic needles is required to produce a prescription and / or only to persons who have reached a predetermined age. In addition, some medical devices are only available on prescription. Consequently, access to many non-drug medical devices is complicated by restrictions on treatment, like the above.
In addition, many types of products belong to a general class of products referred to in the present application "nutraceuticals", which contains the following types of products, such as, but not limited to, nutritional supplements, food products with functional additives, dietary supplements, vitamins, drugs from vegetable raw materials, health food products and others. It is assumed that at least one of the above and other nutraceuticals can have the status of restricted circulation, assigned to the regulatory body, the manufacturer, retailers and any of their associations.
In addition, the difference between the medical products being sold through the "limited availability of office", and medical products, sold through "freely available office", it is important for consumers who intend to apply, or to choose some medical devices. For example: a freely available medical product that does not require interaction with an employee who is a medical product which is more convenient for the consumer.
Accordingly, the present invention found that there is an urgent need for systems and methods for dispensing medicinal products, having OTC status, without the need for additional access prohibitions and limitations commonly associated with said only of limited sales departments and available through pharmacies. Furthermore, the present invention established that there is a need for translation methods prescription medical products to OTC status via an electronic vending machine as support means facilitating and access restrictions, to provide safe and effective application of said prescription product in a freely accessible section.
Furthermore, the present invention found that an urgent need for systems and methods of dispensing drugs having OTC status without the need for additional prohibitions and the limited access exists at retailers who use physical barriers or a medical products and devices in limited availability department, or under the supervision of sales staff to restrict access in order to avoid theft.
Object of the Invention
The present invention provides methods and apparatus for dispensing OTC, limited availability of medical products using the vending machine in combination with an electronic automatic selection procedure.

Summary of the Invention
It is also proposed system issuing medical products, which vending machine comprises at least one user interface device and a controller associated with the vending machine and the at least one user interface device. Vending machine limits the storage space that can accommodate the at least one medical product of restricted circulation, and at least one medical product unrestricted circulation. The system further comprises an automatic selection algorithm permanently stored in the controller for each of the medical products restricted circulation of the storage area. The controller is configured to determine, after the selection of a medical product buyer limited circulation through the at least one user interface device, whether the selection of a particular medical product of restricted circulation first request or the second or subsequent request for a particular medical product of restricted circulation. The controller makes the customer requirement to perform an algorithm to automatically select, if the request is the first request. The controller provides a medical product limited treatment only if the buyer has successfully fulfilled algorithm for automatic selection.
A method marketing a medical product which comprises the steps of: providing a controller comprising a selection algorithm permanently stored in the controller; enable the buyer to cause the selection algorithm; control algorithm for selection of a plurality of exemplary purchaser symptoms or disease states through at least one input device, and the communication device visually or acoustic type allow the customer to select at least one symptom of the disease or condition of a plurality of exemplary symptoms or disease states, when at least one symptom of the disease or condition is consistent with those that are currently experiencing a buyer; and controlling the selection algorithm to provide a list of at least one suitable medical product against at least one of the selected symptom or disease state.
It provides a method for marketing a medicinal product, which comprises the following steps: storing electronic automatic selection procedure, relating to a medicinal product in the controller; preserve electronic procedure deselect relating to medicinal products in the controller; provide an opportunity to the potential buyer of the medical product cause electronic procedures automatically select and deselect; controlled by electronic controller automatic selection procedure, to ensure the operation record for a medicinal product only if the potential buyer successfully performs the procedure of automatic choice for the initial request for the purchase of a medicinal product; and manage the controller via the electronic procedure deselect to ensure the operation record for a medicinal product only if the potential buyer successfully performs the procedure cancel the selection, for the second or subsequent request for the purchase of medical products.
The foregoing and other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent and understandable to those skilled in the art from the following detailed description, drawings and appended claims.
Brief Description of Drawings
Fig 1 shows a schematic diagram illustrating an exemplary embodiment of a dispensing system of medical products according to the present invention and the various classes of medicinal products that are intended to be used with a possible issue with the system
Detailed Description of Invention
Figure 1 illustrates the various categories of medical products, which are assumed to be used with a dispensing system shown in Figure 1. For example, the system can be used for the marketing of certain prescription free OTC of medical products that can be sold without any treatment limitations imposed by the regulatory body or other competent regulatory body. In this case, the system can distribute medical products without the need for algorithms. For example, medical products may contain such products, to which access is limited due to theft or attrition. Furthermore, in the present invention, it is assumed that the retailer and / or manufacturer of the product should impose restrictions on the use of at least one medical product, which differ from limitations that requested the regulators / organizations. In these examples, the retailer and / or manufacturer may choose to apply the algorithms in marketing various medical products.
In addition, system may be used for the marketing of other medical products, which are characterized by at least one restriction treatment.
Hence, system may be used for the marketing of certain freely available, non-prescription medical products, which can be sold only after checking at least one characteristic, such as the buyer's age. The present invention is also contemplated that the system should be improved to include the other freely available, non-prescription medical products , which can later be sold for a limited change.
System traffics medical products without the need to cancel the selection algorithm, but instead uses a selection algorithm, which requires only check date of birth or age and, in some cases, the number of purchases of a medical product within a predetermined time period. In this embodiment, the system may be configured to store or save purchase data in the controller. Since the controller is, in some embodiments, common to multiple retail locations in the system is configured to automatically control purchases from different locations storing medical products restricted circulation. The system can prevent the sale of products referred to medical treatment based on the limited allowable quantities purchased, even though the information about the customer (eg, age) meets the required limits.
System can be used to support or provide additional ways that allow some limited sales of available, non-prescription medical products, such as the drugs with dual status, drugs classified on the list and the list of Australia, and pharmacy sales in the India.
In addition, the system can be used to support or provide additional ways that allow some sales of limited availability, prescription medical products that meet or can be made to satisfy the requirements for a "translation" of the status to the status of OTC prescription. In addition, the system can be used to support or provide additional ways that allow some limited sales of available, non-prescription medical products which satisfy, or can be made to satisfy the requirements for a "translation" of the status of the limited availability of the status of a freely available.
During sales medical products, system provides a means of algorithm interactive device approval of additional measures, which for example secures agreement with label requirements and, hence, provides confidence to the translation of the prescription status of medical products in the status of the OTC and / or status of the limited availability of the status of a freely available.
Accordingly, in the context of this application, the term "medical products limited treatment" covers at least one of the products.
