, Description:BACKGROUND
[0001] Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a field of conference services for virtual environment and more particularly to a system and a method for organizing multilevel media-based conferences.
[0002] Media based conferencing is an online service which enables in holding live meetings, conferencing, presentations and trainings in several places via the internet. The media-based conferencing allows two or more participants at remote locations to communicate using either through video or audio. Companies and organizations increasingly use the media-based conferencing or web conferencing solution to reduce traveling expenses and to save time. Generally, to create a satisfactory web-conference, several systems which are available, try to emulate what participants would expect during a regular, face-to-face meeting with other participants, including the ability to have sub-conference with a particular subset of the participants.
[0003] Conventionally, the system available for conducting web-conference allows participation of only active participants on a single web-conference which occurs over private networks. However, such a conventional system does not allow participation of the active participants in one or more other web-conferences simultaneously. Moreover, the active participants if they require to have a private session such as a sub-conference while the main web-conference is still ongoing need to use an external communication source, such as a telephone, a cellular telephone, short message system (SMS) messaging and the like which not only creates hassle by separately connecting the call but also involves multiple parties which further increases maintenance cost.
[0004] Hence, there is a need for improved system and a method for organizing multilevel media-based conferences in order to address the aforementioned issues.
