Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for providing a restrictive control while capturing parameters associated with the object. The system comprises a privacy device to enable a restrictive control mechanism, the privacy device allowing the object to select and customize the privacy setting regarding capture of object parameters and broadcasting the privacy settings so selected in a regular manner, irrespective of the data capturing request. Present invention further provides a restrictive data capturing where a data capturing device is provided to capture parameters associated with the object by following a restrictive control mechanism wherein the object controls the restrictive data capturing. The data capturing device captures parameters associated with the object and receive privacy setting from the object regarding capturing of parameters and to enable an execution of the restrictive data capturing in accordance with the privacy setting so received. TFXHNICAL FIELD
[001] The present subject matter described herein, in general, relates to
recording of personal information more particularly providing restrictive control mechanism while recording of personal parameters.
BACKGROUND
[002] With the revolution in mobile technology and advance data processing
techniques, mobile phones with camera have gained a lot of popularity. This facilitates users to capture photograph or record video at any place and at any time. With this ease of capturing of data anytime anywhere has resulted in breach of subject privacy so targeted for data capturing or recording. At the time of providing eases, parallel maintenance of an object's privacy while capturing of physical parameters is also very important and a matter of concern. In existing photography/recording techniques, object's privacy is not properly addressed. Object is not provided any means to control this data capturing process by some other device. In maximum cases, devices are free to capture data or record data without even asking for an object's consent. This unrestricted data capturing has also created a matter of worry for a country's natural asset like museums, temples and monuments etc. Various solutions have been proposed in the prior art to address object's privacy protection while capture of physical parameters associated with object. One such method discloses a demand shooting approval to a mobile communication terminal possessed by another person and further controls shooting wherein a camera shooting action may be canceled by an approval message of another person, thus the camera shooting action may be controllable by another person. However this method involves sending request for approval or denying of shooting action.
[003] Another method discloses a method which identifies if a photograph
capturing device is in a photography restricting zone and a controller is configured to place the photograph capturing device in a restricted photography mode. Thus at this point a separate controller is required which will control photography restriction mode imposed on the capturing device and object is not enabled to itself control its privacy against getting photographed. Further the captured image data of object is of low quality if the object is captured in the restricted photography mode and a high quality picture if it
is captured in the non-restricted photography mode. In addition another method discloses a control method to easily confirm a privacy mask region in a photographed image. This method more specifically deals with the processing of captured image.
[004] All the solutions proposed in the art remain silent over a complete control
facilitated in the object's device to alert the various data capturing devices. Moreover, solutions do not talk about privacy selection with respect to particular request sent by some data capturing device. Therefore, a solution is needed where the object may control and transmit alerts whenever data capturing is in process without the object's consent.

SUMMARY
[0014] The present invention describes a system to provide a restrictive control to
an object, while capture of one or more parameters associated with the object. The system comprises a privacy device configured to enable a restrictive control mechanism with regard to capture of one or more parameters associated with the object. The privacy device comprises a processor, coupled to a memory, the processor is configured to execute one or more modules to further provide the restrictive control mechanism. The memory comprises a privacy selection module configured to allow the object to select one or more privacy setting with regard to capture of one or more parameters associated with the object and customize the privacy setting with respect to a data capturing request if received. The memory further comprises a control module configured to broadcast in a regular manner, irrespective of the data capturing request, the privacy setting so selected, to the data capturing device with regard to capture of one or more parameters associated with the object.
[0015] The present invention also describes a system to provide a restrictive data
capturing associated with an object. The system comprises a data capturing device configured to capture one or more parameters associated with one or more object by following a restrictive control mechanism, wherein the object further controls the restrictive data capturing. The data capturing device further comprises one or more sensors configured to detect presence of one or more objects and a processor coupled to a memory. The processor is configured to execute a plurality of modules stored in the memory and to enable the restrictive data capturing. The memory comprises a capturing and receiving module configured to capture one or more parameters associated with one or more object, wherein the capture is controlled by receiving privacy
setting from the object, regarding capturing of one or more parameters associated with the object. The memory further comprises an execution module configured to enable an execution of the restrictive data capturing by the data capturing device in accordance with the privacy setting so received.

The method comprises enabling a restrictive control mechanism with regard to capture of one or more parameters associated with the object. The enabling a restrictive control mechanism comprises of selecting one or more privacy setting with regard to capture of one or more parameters associated with the object and customizing the privacy settings with respect to a data capturing request if received. The enabling a restrictive control mechanism further comprises of broadcasting m a regular manner, irrespective of the data capturing request, the privacy setting so selected, to the data capturing device with regard to capture of one or more parameters associated with the object.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0018] A system and method to provide a restrictive control to an object while
capture of one or more parameters associated with the object is explained. A system and a method to provide a restrictive data capturing associated with an object is also explained. This invention provides a device level support to address the privacy of an object while capture of physical parameters of the object. For example voice or image while being recorded. A user interface is configured to allow the object to select one or more privacy setting with regard to capture of one or more parameters associated with the object and the privacy settings so set will be broadcasted in regular manner to the devices in vicinity. Object may also customize the privacy settings on request from data capturing devices.
Object may further broadcast a response message along with the privacy settings to the data capturing devices.

controlled wherein data capturing device will receive the privacy settings from the object and will respect object's privacy settings while capturing the parameters. The data capturing device is configured to provide controlled capturing as per the settings broadcasted by the object. Further the data capturing device may also send request to the object regarding capturing of parameters and receive the response from the object and perform controlled capturing in accordance with the privacy setting and the response message received from the object.

to an object while capture of one or more parameters associated with the object may be implemented in any number of different computing systems, environments, and/or configurations, the embodiments are described in the context of the following exemplary system.
[0021] Referring now to Figure 1, a network implementation 100 and 200 of
systems to provide restrictive data capturing is illustrated, in accordance with an embodiment of the present subject matter. In one embodiment, the system 100 provides for restrictive control to an object while capture of one or more parameters associated with the object. System 200 further provides a restrictive data capturing associated with an object by enabling a restrictive control mechanism.
[0022] Still referring to figure 1, although the present subject matter is explained
considering that the system 100 and system 200 are implemented on a server, it may be understood that the system 100 and 200 may also be implemented in a variety of computing systems, such as a laptop computer, a desktop computer, a notebook, a workstation, a mainframe computer, a server, a network server, and the like. It will be understood that the system 100 and system 200 may be accessed by multiple users through one or more user devices 1004-1, 1004-2... 1004-N, collectively referred to as user 1004 hereinafter, or applications residing on the user devices 1004. Examples of the user devices 1004 may include, but are not limited to, a portable computer, a personal
digital assistant, a handheld device, and a workstation. The user devices 1004 are communicatively coupled to the systems 100 and 200 through a network 1006.
[0023] In one implementation, the network 1006 may be a wireless network, a
wired network or a combination thereof. The network 1006 can be implemented as one of the different types of networks, such as intranet, local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), the internet, and the like. The network 1006 may either be a dedicated network or a shared network. The shared network represents an association of the different types of networks that use a variety of protocols, for example, Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), and the like, to communicate with one another. Further the network 1006 may include a variety of network devices, including routers, bridges, servers, computing devices, storage devices, and the like.
[0024] Referring now to Figure 2, the privacy device 102 is illustrated in
accordance with an embodiment of the present subject matter. In one embodiment, the privacy device 102 may include at least one processor 104, an input/output (I/O) interface 106, and a memory 108. The at least one processor 104 may be implemented as one or more microprocessors, microcomputers, microcontrollers, digital signal processors, central processing units, state machines, logic circuitries, and/or any devices that manipulate signals based on operational instructions. Among other capabilities, the at least one processor 104 is configured to fetch and execute computer-readable instructions stored in the memory 108.

interface 106 may include one or more ports for connecting a number of devices to one another or to another server.

The system further comprises a privacy device [102] configured to enable a restrictive control mechanism with regard to capture of one or more parameters associated with the object. The privacy device (102) further comprises of one or more sensors configured to detect presence of a data capturing device. The object for which the physical characteristics need to be protected from an unauthorized capturing by the data capturing device. The object is further selected from a group of a human object and a non-human object. By way of an example
the object may be a person or specific places such as campuses, or monuments, statues, etc. The object may be further holding the privacy device or the privacy device may be kept in vicinity of the object.

tablet, a laptop, a desktop or a combination thereof. The data capturing device is further selected from a group of a camera, a recorder, a mobile having a camera and a recorder, a tablet, or a combination thereof. One or more parameters associated with the object further comprises of an audio, a video, a picture or a combination thereof.

devices will register with the central repository using a web or mobile platform. For example, a mobile device with a SIM number is required. There are two types of participants: objects targeted to be photographed, and recorders who will click photographs of objects. According to their roles, the participant devices can download two types of applications. The object can download the application of privacy control mechanism that is privacy device application while the recorders will download the restrictive data capturing application.

associated with an object. The system(200) further comprises a data capturing device (202) configured to capture one or more parameters associated with one or more object
by following a restrictive control mechanism, wherein the object further controls the restrictive data capturing.

accordance with an embodiment of the present subject matter. In one embodiment, the data capturing device 202 may include at least one processor 204, an input/output (I/O) interface 206, and a memory 208. the object is shown, in accordance with an embodiment of the present subject matter. The methods 400 and 500 may be described in the general context of computer executable instructions. Generally, computer executable instructions can include routines, programs, objects, components, data structures, procedures, modules, functions, etc., that perform particular functions or implement particular abstract data types. The methods 400 and 500 may also be practiced in a distributed computing environment where functions are performed by remote processing devices that are linked through a communications network. In a distributed computing environment, computer executable instructions may be located in both local and remote computer storage media, including memory storage devices.

be construed as a limitation, and any number of the described method blocks can be combined in any order to implement the methods 400 and 500 or alternate methods. In step 402, the object selects one or more privacy setting by using user interface provided by the privacy device with regard to capture of one or more parameters associated with the object. The privacy setting further comprises of selection of one or more masking techniques. One or more parameters associated with the object further comprises of an audio, a video, a picture or a combination thereof. In step 402, the object further may customize the privacy settings with respect to a data capturing request if received from one or more data capturing device. Further in step 404, the object by using the privacy device broadcast the privacy settings so selected in a regular manner, irrespective of the data capturing request to the
data capturing device with regard to capture of one or more parameters associated with the object.
[0062] In accordance with another embodiment, a method to provide a restrictive
control to an object, while capture of one or more parameters associated with the object may be described by referring to figure 4 and figure 7. In step 406, the object registers with the central repository 302. By way of an example, the central repository comprises a central authority where objects by means of privacy device and data capturing devices get registered. The object is provided with identity by using identity module 122 of the privacy device. The geographical co-ordinates of the object are identified and transmitted to the data capturing device by using a GPS module (120) to enable the restrictive control mechanism.

detects presence of one or more data capturing devices by using sensor. In step 410, the privacy device of the object receives request from one or more data capturing device regarding capture of parameters associated with the object. In step 412, the object checks an authenticity of the data capturing device by communicating with the central repository by using authentication module (116). In step 414, object selects its privacy settings by using privacy selection module 114 and the user interface provided by the privacy device. The object may customize his privacy settings after receiving request from the data capturing device. In step 416, the object transmits the privacy setting along with the response message to the data capturing device by using the communication module 124.
[0064] Referring now to figure 4 and 8 in combination, a method to provide a
restrictive data capturing associated with an object may be described. Restrictive data capturing associated with the object further comprises enabling or disabling of the data capture. Restrictive data capturing associated with the object further comprises of controlling capturing of parameters by applying the privacy settings. In step 502, the data capturing device receives privacy settings from one or more objects. Further, in step 504, the data capturing device enables an execution of the restrictive data capturing in accordance with the privacy setting so received. The privacy setting further comprises of selection of one or more masking techniques.

In step 506, the data capturing device registers with the central repository (302). Further, in step 508, the object detects presence of one or more objects for capturing one or more parameters associated with the object. One or more parameters associated with the object further comprises of an audio, a video, a picture or a combination thereof. Further, the data capturing device is provided with its identity by using identity module (222), Once the data capturing device detects presence of object, it may receive response from the object communicating the privacy settings of the object by using capturing and receiving module 216. Then in step 510, the data capturing device checks authenticity of the object with the central repository 302 by using authentication module 214. If it finds that the object is authentic, then the data capturing device respects the privacy settings of the object and in step 518 the data capturing device enables execution of restrictive data capturing in accordance with the privacy setting so received. Further in step 512, the data capturing device transmits one or more request to one or more object and the request further contains a message regarding capturing of one or more parameters associated with the object.. In step 514, the data capturing device receives response message along with the privacy setting from the object by using capturing and receiving module 216. The response message further accepts, rejects or partially accepts the request of the data capturing device. Further in step 518, the data capturing device enables execution of the restrictive data capturing in accordance with the privacy setting so received by using execution module 218. The geographical co-ordinates of one or more object are located by using a GPS module 224 to enable the restrictive control mechanism. The execution of restrictive data capturing is carried out in accordance with the privacy setting received from the object. The execution of restrictive data capturing further comprises enablement or disablement of capturing. Further the execution of restrictive data capturing comprises applying masking of the parameters associated with the object. The masking of the parameters associated with the object is carried out by using masking algorithm (226).

capturing device receives a mixed response from the objects; the data capturing device
masks the entire object parameter who has denied the permission for capturing. By using the masking algorithm, the data capturing device locates the object in the frame and accordingly masks the object parameter partially or entirely.

iii. Masking characteristics: The objects can also specify masking characteristics (MC) that specifies that the RDs should mask out entire/parts of the subject's characteristics (voice, video, image).

In the first place, all the data capturing devices must be enabled with restrictive data capturing system. The object's privacy will not be protected in case of other types of devices or analogue devices. In such cases the devices would have to be restricted entry in such locations where the users may expect privacy.
ii. When an RD attempts to record characteristics of an S, it communicates with the SD using the Communication Protocol. In other alternative scenario, the RD may receive broadcast from the S and record accordingly.
iii. The SD checks its database (DB) for configured privacy settings, masking options and RD access control list and responds back to the RD.
iv. If the response is negative the RD is incapable of capturing.
v. Or the RD needs to record conforming to the Masking options specified by the subject.
vi. The locating and masking algorithm at the RD makes use of its own GPS and the object's GPS to pinpoint the object S in the RD's field of view (capturing field).
vii. If the response is positive the RD captures with no restriction.
viii. The proceeding's transaction logs are maintained at the central repository. In this way. in case an obfuscated/masked subject has performed an illegal activity and has not been recorded due to privacy settings, the system is at least aware of its presence based on its SIM identity in the logging mechanism

system 200 and the system 300, more specifically execution of masking is detailed as followed:

(RDc). Communication signals by camera RDc can reach up to certain distance say d from RDc. Consider there be P(S_1, S_2, ...S_P) objects whose distance from RDc is not greater than d. I.e. p is the set of subjects that RDc can communicate with.

a privacy device configured to enable a restrictive control mechanism with regard to capture of one or more parameters associated with the object, the device comprising:
a processor, coupled to a memory, the processor configured to execute one or more modules to further provide the restrictive control mechanism, the memory comprising:
a privacy selection module configured to allow the object to select one or more privacy setting with regard to capture of one or more parameters associated with the object and customize the privacy setting with respect to a data capturing request if received; and
a control module configured to broadcast in a regular manner, irrespective of the data capturing request, the privacy setting so selected, to a data capturing device with regard to capture of one or more parameters associated with the object.
2. A system to provide a restrictive data capturing associated with an object, the
system comprising:
a data capturing device configured to capture one or more parameters associated with one or more object by following a restrictive control mechanism, wherein the object further controls the restrictive data capturing, the data capturing device comprising:
one or more sensors configured to detect presence of one or more objects;
a processor coupled to a memory, the processor configured to execute a plurality of modules stored in the memory and to enable the restrictive data capturing, the memory comprising:
a capturing and receiving module configured to capture one or more parameters associated with one or more object, wherein the capture is controlled by receiving privacy setting from the object, regarding capturing of one or more parameters associated with the object; and
an execution module configured to enable an execution of the restrictive data capturing by the data capturing device in accordance with the privacy setting so received.
3. The system of claim 1, wherein the privacy device is further selected from a group of a mobile phone, a tablet, a laptop, a desktop or a combination thereof.
4. The system of claim 1, wherein the privacy device further comprises of one or more sensors configured to detect presence of a data capturing device.
5. The system of claim 1 and 2. wherein the privacy device and the data capturing device are registered with a central repository.
6. The system of claim 1, wherein the privacy module further comprises of an authentication module configured to check authenticity of the data capturing device by communicating with a central repository, the central repository stores identity information of plurality of data capturing devices and privacy devices .
7. The system of claim 1 and 2, wherein the object is further selected from a group of a human object and a non-human object.
8. The system of claim 1 and 2, wherein the data capturing device is further selected form a group of a camera, a recorder, a mobile having a camera and a recorder, a tablet, or a combination thereof.
9. The system of claim 1 and 2, wherein one or more parameters associated with the object further comprises of an audio, a video, a picture or a combination thereof.
10. The system of claim 1, wherein the restrictive control mechanism further enable or disable the capture of one or more parameters associated with the object.
11. The system of claim 1, wherein the privacy device is configured to send a response message along with the privacy setting to one or more data capturing devices.
12. The system of claim 2. wherein the data capturing device is configured to send a request to one or more objects for capturing of one or more parameters associated with the objects and receive a response message along with the privacy settings sent by one or more objects.
13. The system of claim 2, wherein the data capturing device further comprises an authentication module configured to check an authenticity of the object by communicating to a central repository, the central repository stores identity information of plurality of objects.
14. The system of claim 1 and 2, wherein the response message further provides an acceptance, a rejection or a partial acceptance of the request of the data capturing device.
15. The system of claim 1 and 2. wherein the privacy setting further comprises of selection of one or more masking techniques.
16. The system of claim 1, wherein the privacy device further comprises of a GPS module to further transmit geographical co-ordinates of the object to the data capturing device to enable the restrictive control mechanism.
17. The system of claim 2, wherein the data capturing device further comprises a GPS module to further locate geographical co-ordinates of the object to enable the restrictive control mechanism.
] 8. The system of claim 1 and 2, wherein the privacy device and the data capturing device further comprises of a communication module to provide a communication channel between the privacy device and the data capturing device.

A method to provide a restrictive control to an object, while capture of one or more parameters associated with the object, the method comprising: enabling a restrictive control mechanism with regard to capture of one or more parameters associated with the object, the enabling further comprising:
selecting one or more privacy setting with regard to capture of one or more parameters associated with the object and customizing the privacy settings with respect to a data capturing request if received; and
broadcasting in a regular manner, irrespective of the data capturing request, the privacy setting so selected, . , to the data capturing device with regard to capture of one or more parameters associated with the object.
20. A method to provide a restrictive data capturing associated with an object, the
method comprising:
capturing of one or more parameters associated with one or more objects by following a restrictive control mechanism; wherein the object further controls the restrictive data capturing: and
receiving a privacy setting from the object and enabling an execution of the restrictive data capturing by the data capturing device in accordance with the privacy setting so received and by following the restrictive control mechanism.
21. The method of claim 19 and 20, wherein the privacy setting further comprises of selection of one or more masking techniques.
22. The method of claim 19 and 20, wherein one or more parameters associated with the object further comprises of an audio, a video, a picture or a combination thereof.
23. The method of claim 19 and 20, wherein the restrictive control mechanism further enable or disable the capture of one or more parameters associated with the object
24. The method of claim 19 and 20, wherein the response message further accepts, rejects or partially accepts the request of the data capturing device.
25. The method of claim 19 and 20, wherein the transmission of the privacy'settings further includes transmission of a geographical co-ordinates to the data capturing device to enable the restrictive control mechanism.
26. The method of claim 19 and 20, wherein the privacy device and the data capturing device are registered with the central repository.
27. The method claim 19 and 20, wherein authenticity of object and recording
device is checked by communicating with a central repository, the central
repository stores identity information of plurality of objects and data capturing devices.
28. The method claim 20, wherein the data capturing device transmits one or more request to one or more object, the request further contains a message regarding capturing of one or more parameters associated with the object.
29. The method of claim 19, wherein presence of one or more data capturing device is detected by way of sensors.
30. The method of claim 20, wherein the presence of objects is detected by means of sensors.
