, Description:TITLE OF THE INVENTION: SYSTEM FOR LOCKING MEMORIES TO REAL-TIME OBJECTS AND METHOD OF OPERATION THEREOF
FILED OF THE INVENTION
The present disclosure generally relates to a system and method for locking memories. More particularly, the present invention relates to a system for locking memories to real-time objects and its method of operation.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Memories constitute a significant portion of the lives of human beings. One of the methods by which these memories are captured is by clicking and storing pictures.
Each memory has a context associated with it. Every time a person with a memory in a particular context performs a subsequent activity in relation to the same context, some or all of the memories from the previous activity comes to his/her mind.
However, there is no way to unlock the pictures that were taken during the previous activity while performing a subsequent activity in relation to the same context. The context for the memories may be wide-ranging, such as a cup of coffee, a book, a T-shirt, a monument, etc.
There is, therefore, a need in the art for a system for locking memories to real-time objects, and unlocking such memories.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
A system for locking memories to real-time object is disclosed. Said system comprises an user interface, which captures picture of a real-time object using the camera of any handheld devices; a locker creation module, which receives the picture of a real-time object captured by the user interface and checks whether the picture has enough features to be augmentable; a storage unit, which receives the information of the real-time object from the locker creation module and checks whether any such object or the related information is available in the storage unit and sends back the positive result to the locker creation module to create a memory locker for that specific object and assigning a access permission to the memory locker created; an add stories module, which facilitates to add stories to the memory locker, wherein the stories are being captured using the camera of any handheld devices through the user interface, inputted through the user interface, or selected from the image gallery of the handheld device; a search module, which receives search criteria from the user interface and sends the search criteria to the storage unit for finding the related result (story lockers) for the search criteria; wherein the search criteria is analysed by an image analysis module whether the objects in the search criteria are searchable if the search criteria received from the user interface an image data; and an unlock stories module, which receives the search results from the search module, requests the associated access credentials from the user for the specific story locker, unlock and displays the story to the user if the access credentials are found correct. The method of operation of the system for locking memories to real-time object is also disclosed.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Figure 1 illustrates the block diagram of an embodiment of a system for locking memories to real-time object.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Throughout this specification, the use of the word "comprise" and variations such as "comprises" and "comprising" may imply the inclusion of an element or elements not specifically recited.
Embodiments described herein generally require the use of handheld devices, including smartphones, tablets, etc. For example, systems described herein may be associated with a server. Such servers may connect and be used by users over networks such as the Internet, or by a combination of networks, such as cellular networks and the Internet. The system described may be implemented in whole or in part on a server. Alternatively, a system such as described herein may be implemented on the handheld devices, in whole or in part. In either case, implementation of system provided for in this application may require use of memory, processors and network resources (including data ports, and signal lines (optical, electrical etc.), unless stated otherwise.
A system for locking memories to real-time object (100) is disclosed. As illustrated in Figure 1, said system (100) comprises a user interface (101), an image analysis module (102), a search module (103), a locker creation module (104), an add stories module (105), an unlock stories module (106) and a storage unit (107).
The user interface (101) captures picture of a real-time object using the camera of any handheld devices and forwards the picture to the locker creation module (104). The locker creation module (104) checks whether the picture has enough features to be augmentable. If the picture has enough features, then the information may be forwarded to the storage unit (107) for checking for duplicate. If there is no such object or the related information is available in the storage unit (107) then a memory locker for that specific object will be created and access permission may also be assigned to the memory locker as per the user’s choice.
After creating the memory locker, the add stories module (105) helps to add more stories in the form of pictures, text and stickers etc. to the memory locker. The pictures can either be captured using the camera of any handheld devices through the user interface (101) or selected from the image gallery of the handheld device. On submission, the story gets associated with the memory locker.
Once a memory is created, the same can be searched in different ways. The user interface (101) forwards one or more inputs from one or more user to the search module (103). One type of input may correspond to an image file or image captured using the camera of a handheld devices. For example, a person may submit an image of an object. Another type of input may correspond to text input. For example, rather than specify an image, the user may enter the proper name of an object, assuming that object and its image are known to the system.
If the input is image input, the user interface (101) forwards image data input to the image analysis module (102) as an intermediate step. The image analysis component may recognize what, if any, objects in the image input are searchable. In one embodiment, the search criteria may include a face or portion of a person appearing in an image, text carried on an object, and any other recognizable object. If the user input is text input, the user interface (101) may forward the text input to the search module (103) with little additional modification.
The search module (103) may perform comparison functions of criteria to index data and then forwards the search criteria to the storage unit (107) for finding the related result (story lockers) for the search criteria. If the search criteria fetches any results from the storage unit (107), the result is then forwarded to the unlock stories module (106). The unlock stories module (106) requests the associated access credentials from the user for the specific story locker, unlock and displays the story to the user if the access credentials are found correct. Then the user can filter the stories associated with the locker based on the access permission and the same can be shared on social media.
In an embodiment, images are displayed to a user in a manner where recognized objects from that image are made user interactive. In another embodiment, stored data that corresponds to an image is supplemented with metadata that identifies one or more objects in the captured image that have been previously recognized. The captured image is then rendered, or made renderable, using the stored data and the metadata so that each of the recognized objects is made selectable. When selected, a programmatic action may be performed, such as the display of the supplemental information, or a search for other images containing the selected object.
The method of operation of the system for locking memories to real-time objects (100) broadly comprises the following steps:
1. Creation of memory locker;
2. Adding stories to the memory locker created; and
3. Unlocking the memory locker to display the associated stores to one or more users.
The method of creation of memory locker comprises the following steps:
1. Capturing picture of one or more real-time objects using the camera of any handheld devices;
2. Checking whether the captured picture has enough features to be augmentable;
3. Verifying whether same or similar memory locker is already exists; and
4. Creating a memory locker for the real-time object captured.
The method of adding storing to the memory locker comprises the following steps:
1. Opening the memory locker created already;
2. Adding pictures to the memory locker either by capturing pictures using the camera of the handheld devices or by selecting pictures from the image gallery of the handheld devices;
3. Adding stickers and texts to the memory locker if needed; and
4. Submitting the pictures, stickers and texts to save the story to the memory locker.
The method of unlocking the memory locker comprises the following steps:
1. Scanning of an real-time object or entering related text to find out the related memory locker;
2. Opening the memory locker based on the access permission entered by the user;
3. Displaying all the related stories stored in the memory locker;
4. Filtering the stories based on the access permission; and
5. Sharing the stories in the social media.
It will be apparent to a person skilled in the art that the above description is for illustrative purposes only and should not be considered as limiting. Various modifications, additions, alterations and improvements without deviating from the spirit and the scope of the disclosure may be made by a person skilled in the art. Such modifications, additions, alterations and improvements should be construed as being within the scope of this disclosure.
