Abstract: An apparatus (400) and a method for thermally isolating and electrically connecting a PCB (300) and power components (105) is described herein. In an aspect, control components (305), for example, transistors, capacitors, and other electronic components that carry less current than the power components (105), are mounted on the PCB (300). Further, the control components (305) are interconnected through conducting tracks embedded within the PCB (300). The power components (105) are external to the PCB. Further, electrical terminals (120) of the power components (105) are soldered to plastic molded electrical conductive strips (130), and then the power components (105) are mounted onto a heat-dissipating device (200). Further, the plastic molded electrical conductive strips (130) interconnect the power components (105) and the control components (305).
