BACKGROUND
Stress, mental tension, cyclic variation in moods have become a part of modern life for all age groups. When mind is not able to cope up with stress it results in anxiety and mental depression. It affects various organs manifesting several disorders,sleep pattern of an individual is also disturbed.Excessive persislant psychic stress can lead to anxiety which is not the same thing as worry. Anxiety state occurs when the mind's compensatory mechanism fails to withstand the stress . Mental tension can lead to digestive disorders like diabetes, headache, blood pressure etc. A patient of mental depression suffers from slowing down of physical and mental process., loss of appetite, lack of energy, weight reduction , memory loss , lethargy are commonly noticed in a depressed individual. Persons who are in the state of anxiety or mental
depression may suffer from improper s.leep or even insomnia. They may complain more about sleeplessness than anxiety or depression. A homoeopathic doctor may prescribe Nux Moshata for a patient suffering from lethargic feeling , loss of memory and drowsiness. For a patient who is complaining of sleeplessness, Passiflora Incarnata may be prescribed. In case a patient is very anxious and has various types of fears and does not sleep well ,he may be prescribed Aconite Napellus and Passiflora Incarnata together.
The object of this invention is to simplify the prescription by doctor for a large group of patients and to cover wider spectrum symptoms in conditions such as restlessness ,anxicty, sleeplessness and depression in a single Homoeopathic composition consisting of medicines made from herbs and chemical salts.
To achieve the said objective, this invention provides Tranquil composition for a wider spectrum of symptoms in conditions such as stress , mental tension,memory loss, lethargy and loss of appetite which comprises: i) Aconite Napellus
ii) Belladonna
iii) Cypripedinm Pubescens
iv) Calendula Officinalis
v) Kali Bioniatum
vi) Nux Moschata
vii) Passillora Incaniata
viii) Zincuin Phosphoricum
in equal proportion having potencies for ingredients (i)- (vii) and (viii) ranging from 2-30 on centesimal scale and for ingredient (vii) ranging from 2-6 on decimal scale. In the aforesaid composition, the ingredients are all obtained from herbal extracts whcras Kali Bromalum and Zincnm Phosphoricum are chemical salts. The aforesaid ingredients are potentised in either alcohol or distilled water to pre-detennined potency.
To prepare the tablets of lOOmg or 250mg the above mentioned composition is mixed in lactose . Said tablets are prescribed by doctors depending upon the acuteness of the patient's condition. Normally , the doses given is 4 tablets of lUOmg 4 times a day or 2 tablets of 250 ing 3-4 times a day
This invention further includes a process of prepnring Tranquil composition which comprises mixing in equal proportion ;i! amhicnl tcmpciatme the following ingredients:

ii) Belladonna
iii) Cypripediuni Pubescens
iv) Calendula Offjcinalis
v) Kali Bromatum
vi) Nux Moschata
vii) Passillora Incarnata
viii) Zincuin Phosphoricum
All the aforesaid ingredients are potentised in 90% alcohol or distilled water individually before mixing in equal proportion.
The chemical names of the salts, Kali Bromatum and Zinc Phosphoricum are Potassium Bromate and Zinc Phosphate respectively.
Said process comprises of the following steps
1) obtaining extracts of Aconite Napellus, Belladonna,
CypripediunuCalendula Olllcinalis, Nux Moschala and Passiflora Incarnata.
2) potentising the henbal extracts as well as the chemical salts in either 90%
alcohol or distilled water,
3) mixing in equal proportion all the potenlised ingredients to obtain the
composition.
The invention will, now, be described with reference to the following
examples.
Example 1
The Tranquil composition is prepared by mixing in equal proportion at
ambient temperature the following ingredients.
i) Aconite Napellus 6CH
ii) Belladonna 6CH
iii) Cypripedium Pubescens 3CH
iv) Calendula OHicinalis 6C11
v) Kali Bromatum 6CH
vi) Nux Moschata 4CH
vii) Passilloia Incainata 3X

viii) Zincum Phosphoricum 6C1I
The tablets are prepared by mixing the above composition in lactose . These tablets are known as Tranquil and are prescribed lor patients depending upon the age and acutcness of the condition. Even the patients can themselves take these tablets depending upon the condition of the patients without doctors prescription. Normally, the doses given is 4 tablets of 100 mg 4 times a day . the herbal ingredients of the composition except Passillora Incarnata arc in
the range of 3-30 on the centiscemal scale.
4. Tranquil composition as claimed in claim 1 wherein the potency of
Passiflora Incarnata ranges from 2-6 on the decimal scale.
5. Tranquil composition as claimed in claim 1 wherein the ingredients of the composition are mixed in lactose 10 for making the tablets of 100 mg or 250 mg.
6. Tranquil composition as claimed in claim 1 wherein the herbal ingredients as well the chemical salts are potentised in 90% alcohol or distilled water individually before mixing in equal proportion.
