Video Decoding Device And Video Decoding Method
Abstract: A video decoding device includes means for entropy-decoding a prediction mode, and decoding control means for restricting inter prediction direction candidates of an inter-PU (Prediction Unit) partition of a CU (Coding Unit) to be decoded, based on a relationship between the maximum number of motion vectors allowed for a predetermined image block having a predetermined area and the number of motion vectors of a decoded CU contained in the predetermined image block having the predetermined area, when the prediction mode is inter prediction.
