As per the Nice Classification updates 2026, the following clarifications are particularly relevant to Class 24:
Sustainable fabrics, antibacterial textiles, and smart fabrics with minor embedded technology are now more clearly classified in Class 24 when the textile function dominates.
Practical takeaway: Describe whether the textile is sold as fabric or as a finished article to avoid overlap with Classes 25 and 27.
