Classification principle: If the service provides food, drink, or lodging to customers, it generally falls within Class 43.
As per the Nice Classification updates 2026, the following clarifications are particularly relevant to Class 43:
Ghost kitchens, cloud-based restaurant reservation platforms, and boutique hospitality experiences are now more clearly classified in Class 43 when food or accommodation is the core service.
Practical takeaway: Food products belong in Classes 29–33; the service of preparing and serving them belongs in Class 43.
