Form 10C is the preliminary form generally submitted for claiming the employee pension scheme benefits. An employer grants in the EPF account. The employees can withdraw this contribution anytime using Form 10C.
The form is a 4-page document, which is downloadable from the website of EPF India.
To fill form 10C online, the following steps are followed:
Step One: Visit the website www.epfindia.gov.in, the employee provident fund website. Using the UAN ID and password, sign in to your EPF profile.
Step Two: Click on the tab ‘Online Services’ from the top menu bar. Select Claim Form 10C from the dropdown menu.
Step Three: On the next page, you will see your details regarding your membership, such as the EPF contribution details, employment details, and KYC details
Step Four: Click on the ‘proceed online claim’ option, and you will be redirected to the Claims section. Choose the type of claim, whether ‘withdraw PF only’ or ‘withdraw pension only’. Fill in the claim form carefully.
Step Five: On filling and submitting the form, an OTP is sent to the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to the requested form, to which the withdrawal gets initiated.
Step Six: An SMS is sent to the registered phone number notifying the successful submission.
The requested amount is transferred to the requested bank account on the successful process of the claim.
