The present invention relates to a medical training device and a method of using the same for training neurosurgeons, preferably being shaped as at least a part of a human or animal brain. The medical training device comprises at least four elements, i) a fluid interface to work with endoscope; ii) a biological membrane representing tuber cinereum; iii) biodegradable pellets resembling midbrain with pre-mesencephalic subarachnoid space; and iv) a gel foam imitating dorsal brain stem like appearance.
