Field of the Invention
This invention relates to an improved crop thresher especially use for threshing the paddy. Basically it is required to remove grain or seeds from the plant material.
Description of Prior Art
The use of the threshers is well established in the prior art for threshing the different crops. One of the conventional threshers comprises a shaft mounted on frame and disposed in a cashing secured with the same frame. A plurality of the rods having cutters at the free ends thereof is secured in the middle of the shaft by means of a bracket secured with the shaft. A pulley is mounted on one side of the shaft for facilitating the rotation of the shaft. The pulley is connected with the prime mover by means of belt(s). A wire mesh in the form of an arc is provided at the bottom side of the casing. A hoper is secured at one side of the casing for feeding the crop to be threshed. An out let is provided at the front end for the exit of the fodder. A fan is provided at opposite end of the outlet for separating the grains from the fodder. Another similar thresher known in the prior art comprises almost all the components arranged in the same manner as mentioned herein above. Further instead of the rods, a drum having spikes secured on the outer surface thereof is mounted on the shaft. Additionally winnowing means are provided below the bottom wire mesh for separating the grains and chaff so as to fill the grains into the gunny begs. As disclosed in the Indian patent no. 175344, a multi purpose threshers known in the art for threshing the different crops. This kind of the thresher has a threshing unit mounted on a frame. A pulley is mounted on one side of the main shaft for providing
2

the rotational movement to the threshing drum of the threshing unit and also other units. A wire mesh is secured to the bottom end of the threshing unit for converting the thresher for threshing the different kind of the crops. A winnowing unit is provided below the lower end of the threshing unit for facilitating the separation of the grains from the chaff of the crop. A thresher disclosed in the US patent no. 6416405 Bl, comprises a blower unit for
spreading the discharge mixture of chopped straw and chaff over a wide area. The kinetic energy obtained through the medium of a chopper or feed device collocated prior to the blowers is retained so as to save on drive power by making the material outlet opening of the chopper or the feed device lie in the same plane as the inlet opening of the blower.
A harvester thresher disclosed in the U patent no. 5833533 has housing and a straw shaking means. A chopper drum arranged after the straw shaking means and provided with associated counter cutter for combining a threshed straw. A width-distributing device arranged under the chopper drum for distributing the comminuted straw. The chopper drum is arranged at a height of the discharge end of the straw shaking means. The chopper drum having a drum casing, a shaft supporting the drum casing in the housing and a plurality of parallel supporting rings arranged at a distance from one another on the drum casing. The chopper-drum further having a plurality of impact plates. A plurality of transfer strips associated with the straw shaking means and inserted in ring gaps between the supporting rings and a plurality of counter cutters, which deviate under the action of an overload and extend in the ring gaps between the supporting rings at a different locations.

Disadvantages associated with the prior art
There are disadvantages associated with the prier art. One of these disadvantages is
that the conventional threshers do not produce good quality of fodder.
Another disadvantage is that conventional threshers exert heavy load on the drives by
which it is run and therefore the farmers find it difficult to run the machine.
Yet another disadvantage is that the conventional threshers do not separate the chaff
and grains completely and the farmers have to separate it again either by using the fan
assembly of the same thresher or by using a separate fan like device and in the
process a lot of grains are wasted.
Advantages and Objects of the Invention
Therefore the main object of the present invention is to provide an improved crop
thresher which can be used for threshing paddy crops with highly efficient.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an improved crop thresher,
which does not exert more loads on the drive, which runs it.
Yet another object of this invention is to provide an improved crop thresher which
produces good quality of fodder/chaff as a whole paddy stalk instead of chopped
pieces.
Yet another object of this invention is to provide an improved crop thresher that
provides the chaff/fodder and grains separately and the farmers do not have to
separate it again.
Yet the another objective of the invention is the action of thresher is sufficiently
strong to remove butt kernels, yet so gentle that green grain is threshed without
4

damage, and a debearder at the discharge end of the thresher removes kernels from
any heads of grain that pass there through.
Another objective is that the thresher produces the whole paddy stalk instead of
chopped pieces. So it is pollution free and environment friendly technology.
The following description contains many specifics but these should not be construed
as limitations on the scope of the invention, rather these specifics are the
exemplification of one preferred embodiment thereof and many other variations are
possible. Accordingly the scope of the invention should not be limited to the
embodiment illustrated, and the alterations and variations may be treated within the
spirit and scope of this invention.
Statement of the Invention
According to this invention there is provided an improved crop thresher for threshing the paddy crops comprising feeding unit provided tray type hoppers for keep the paddy bunches and mounted on the chassis of the thresher, Conveyer belts means being provided on the other side of the threshing unit for moving forward the paddy crops, power transmission means being provided to transmit the rotational movement to the different parts of the thresher, characterized in that a four beating unit adapted to be connected to said threshing unit on the central shaft. To remove the light foreign material and stalks of the grain, two fans are fitted at the lower portion of unit.
