Limited Liability Partnership Rules, 2009 were introduced to streamline the provisions contained in the LLP Act,2008.

| Rule 10 | Chapter III of LLP rules 2009 | Director Identification Number is a unique code which is obtained by all the designated partners at the time of incorporation. |
| Rule 18 | Chapter IV of LLP Rules 2009 | Name Reservation is filed in LLP-1 form. The applicant must apply for a unique name which is not registered with the MCA before in any form of business entity. |
| Rule 11 & 13 | Chapter IV of LLP Rules 2009 | Incorporation of LLP is filed in LLP-2 form. It is the main procedure which contains details of the LLP along with the consent of the partners. |
