  • An online form needs to be filed with all the applicant’s details and supporting documents (wherever required).
  • On submission a unique number will be sent to the applicant’s registered mobile number or e-mail mentioned in the application.
  • The MSME department will review the application and information mentioned.
  • Once verified, a registration certificate will be issued to the applicant.

There is no cost for MSME Registration in India however; if you authorize an attorney or agent to file on your part then you might need to pay some professional fee.

In case there are any errors, incomplete information/documents in the application the status of your application will reflect accordingly.

Initially a provisional certificate is issued for a period of 5 years if the MSME hasn’t set up a business yet. But you will have to re-apply for getting a MSME Certificate if you fail to commence any business during the initial 5 years.
